Amazon Interview Prep | Ex-Amazon Hiring Manager
Prepare for your Amazon interview with someone who has actually been on the other side of the table. I spent 8 years at Amazon and conducted 150+ interviews as an interviewer and Hiring Manager. In this package, I’ll help you understand how Amazon interviews are really assessed and turn your experience into compelling, structured stories that demonstrate the Leadership Principles at the level expected for your role. We’ll work together to: • Understand the Amazon interview process, Leadership Principles, and what interviewers are really evaluating • Identify the strongest examples from your experience and map them to the most relevant Leadership Principles • Build and refine your STAR stories, with particular attention to ownership, scope, complexity, impact, and measurable results • Practice likely behavioral questions and probing follow-up questions • Identify weak spots, missing details, and potential red flags before the real interview • Run realistic mock interview practice and receive direct, actionable feedback • Improve how you communicate your impact while keeping answers concise, credible, and natural • Prepare for the Bar Raiser mindset and the level of evidence Amazon expects from successful candidates The preparation is tailored to your role, seniority, background, and interview stage. Rather than giving you generic answers to memorize, my goal is to help you build a strong set of authentic stories and understand how to adapt them when interviewers probe deeper. You’ll leave knowing not just what to say, but why an Amazon interviewer is likely to consider an answer strong or weak.
What's included
My coaching style is practical, direct, and highly personalized. Before we start, I learn about your target role, level, interview stage, and professional background so we can focus our time on the areas most likely to influence the hiring decision. During our sessions, I combine coaching with realistic interview practice. I’ll often ask the same types of probing follow-up questions an Amazon interviewer would use to understand exactly what you did, why you made a decision, what the result was, and what you learned. I won't write artificial stories for you or give you scripts to memorize. Instead, we'll uncover the strongest evidence from your actual experience and make sure you can communicate it clearly and convincingly. Having conducted 150+ interviews at Amazon and served as a Hiring Manager, I approach your answers from the evaluator's perspective: What evidence am I hearing? What is missing? What would concern me? Where would I probe further? And does this answer demonstrate the Leadership Principle at the level required? The objective is for you to walk into the interview prepared for the conversation-not dependent on memorized answers.
- A tailored Leadership Principles story map based on your experience and target role
- A refined bank of interview-ready STAR stories with stronger scope, actions, metrics, and impact
- Realistic Amazon mock interview practice with interviewer-style follow-up questions
- Detailed, actionable feedback from the perspective of a former Amazon Hiring Manager
- A clear understanding of Amazon's evaluation criteria and what strong answers look like at your level
- A final interview strategy covering story selection, answer structure, probing questions, and common mistakes to avoid

Ex-Amazon Hiring Manager | 150+ Interviews | 300+ Professionals Coached
If you’re preparing for an Amazon, Big Tech, or senior leadership interview, I can help you turn your experience into clear, convincing evidence that interviewers can recognize and remember. I spent nearly eight years at Amazon across the UK, Luxembourg, and Italy, working in Operations, Business Development, and Program Management. As a Hiring Manager, I conducted more than 150 interviews and saw first-hand what separates an average answer from one that earns the offer—particularly in behavioral interviews, Leadership Principles, and senior-level assessments. After Amazon, I moved into leadership roles at Amplifon and HelloFresh, most recently serving as Head of Operations for HelloFresh Italy. I therefore understand career progression from both sides of the table: as an interviewer evaluating candidates and as a senior professional navigating competitive hiring processes and career transitions. Today, I’m also the founder of Operward, an operations and procurement consultancy supporting physical-product companies with operational improvement, supply chain, logistics, and scalable growth. This work keeps me closely connected to the challenges faced by managers and senior leaders in real operating environments. Over the past five years, I’ve coached more than 300 professionals internationally, from early-career candidates to experienced managers and senior leaders. I specialize in Amazon and Big Tech interview preparation, behavioral and competency-based interviews, STAR storytelling, career strategy, and offer negotiation. I also publish practical interview and career resources through giuliofamiglietti.com. My coaching is practical, candid, and tailored to your experience. I don’t teach candidates to memorize polished scripts. I help you select the right examples, strengthen the evidence behind them, communicate your impact clearly, and understand how your answers will be evaluated. I hold an MBA in International Management from ESCP Business School, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Law from the University of Genoa.
