Your First 90 Days as a Manager
Six sessions, bi-weekly, for someone new to managing or about to be. We work through whatever is live that week, your first hard conversations, someone who isn't delivering, the shift from doing the work to leading it. Messaging between sessions is included. At the end of these sessions you will be able to walk away with not just a well functioning team but also a way of operating.
What's included
I’m an empathetic leader, so first and foremost, my role here is to understand what’s going on and how it’s impacting everything. When you bring me the current real life situation, I'll tell you what I'd actually do if it were my team, from 16 years running operations and Trust and Safety teams.
- 1. A plan of operating in your first quarter, not just a reactionary solution
- 2. Handled versions of the hard conversations most new managers avoid
- 3. A read on your team and where to spend your attention
- 4. A shift from doing the work to managing the work and leading the people who do it

16 years running teams, coaching new and first-time managers
I've spent 16 years in Operations and Program Management. I ran Trust and Safety teams ranging from scaling 8 people to 150 globally with Twitter as a client and another from 150 to 450 with Facebook while at Accenture (building most of that headcount myself) eventually owning ProdOps and Account Takeovers at TikTok. Most of what I know I learned by doing the job, usually by getting something wrong first and finding the better way. I hired, promoted and coached the managers on those teams, and coaching them was always the part I loved most. Now I do it on purpose. New managers, people scaling a team that's outgrown its process and anyone interviewing for an operations or program role are my wheelhouse and I'd love to help!
