About

Hi! πŸ‘‹ I’m a UCLA medical student 🩺 currently at Stanford as a Sarnoff Fellow, working at the intersection of medicine, AI , and computer science πŸ’». Before medical school, I studied CS at WashU πŸŽ“, worked at McKinsey, and then joined Gates Ventures, where I focused on digital health and primary care 🌎. Research has become a big part of what I do πŸ”¬πŸ“š. I’ve published around 20 papers and abstracts across clinical AI, digital medicine, biomedical engineering, and clinical research, with work appearing in journals including Nature Communications, Science Advances, Advanced Science, npj Digital Medicine, and JNCI. I also love building things πŸ› οΈ in my free time, especially open-source software and random technical projects πŸ’»πŸ€–. I was accepted to 10 medical schools πŸŽ‰ and received multiple full-ride scholarships πŸ’°πŸŽ“. Since then, I’ve helped friends and other applicants navigate applications, interviews, and scholarship decisions ✍️, including helping people secure hundreds of thousands of dollars in merit scholarships πŸ’Έ. Outside of work, I’m into cooking 🍳, diving 🀿, and hiking πŸ₯ΎπŸ”️. I climbed Kilimanjaro a few years ago 🌍 and Mt. Whitney this past May πŸ”οΈ. I also play a little guitar and harmonica 🎸🎢 and am getting married this October πŸ’πŸ₯‚.

Coaches professionally

Scored a 525 on the MCAT

I scored a 525 on the MCAT and went on to receive 10 medical school acceptances and six full-ride scholarships. My background is in computer science, so I tend to approach the MCAT pretty analytically: figuring out exactly where points are being lost, identifying the highest-yield changes, and building a study plan around those weaknesses rather than just telling someone to do more questions. I’m especially helpful with study strategy, reviewing practice-test performance, figuring out why you’re missing questions, and making your prep more efficient. I know how easy it is to spend a huge amount of time studying without actually moving your score, so my goal is to help you focus on what will actually make a difference. πŸ“š

Why do I coach?

I started helping friends with medical school applications after going through the process myself. I was accepted to 10 medical schools and received full-ride scholarships from six, and I realized pretty quickly that a lot of great applicants already have the experiences they need. They just need help figuring out how to tell their story well. Since then, I’ve helped 10+ applicants with school lists, personal statements, secondaries, interviews, and scholarship strategy πŸŽ“. Several have received major merit scholarships totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. I genuinely enjoy getting to know someone, figuring out what makes their application different, and helping them present the strongest version of themselves. My style is pretty straightforward: specific feedback, honest advice, and no generic pre-med clichΓ©s πŸ™‚
