With years of experience as the Assistant Director of the PhD Program at Harvard Business School, I advised and supported more than 130 students annually while also leading admissions committees for doctoral programs in addition to MBA programs. This work gave me direct, insider perspective on how the world’s most competitive business schools evaluate candidates and make decisions. Drawing on this expertise, I now coach prospective MBA students through every stage of the application journey — from crafting compelling personal narratives and refining essays, to interview preparation and strategic school selection. My approach emphasizes authenticity, clarity, and proven admissions insight, helping every client present their strongest and most competitive application.

I got into Wharton with a GMAT of 710 and TOEFL of 106, both well below the school's average. I also received scholarship and fellowship offers from NYU Stern and Michigan Ross. My test scores didn't define my application. What stood out was my unique story: diverse career pivots across functions and markets, a niche in entrepreneurship, design thinking, and EdTech, and a track record of doing things others thought impossible (like publishing two books before ever working in corporate). I leaned into what made me different, not what made me "the same best" as everyone else. That's the biggest mistake I see applicants make: trying to fit into what they think MBA programs want. But admissions committees aren't looking for the "best" candidate. They're looking for a diverse class of unique individuals. Your job isn't to be perfect. It's to be distinctly you. I pursued a dual degree, MBA and Master's in Education, at Penn because I'm genuinely passionate about empowering others. That same passion drives my coaching today. I also know what it feels like to work with big-name consultants who don't remember your story and give generic advice. My approach is different. I offer personalized support and help you uncover and articulate what makes you stand out. Welcome! I am currently an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors from the Red McCombs School of Business at UT Austin. Professionally, I’ve worked across investment banking, private equity, and strategic finance, partnering with founders, corporate boards, and institutional investors to shape business narratives and navigate complex strategic decisions. I approach admissions the same way investors evaluate opportunities: through leadership, judgment, trajectory — and, most importantly, fit. The strongest applications show not only why you want a school, but why that specific school is positioned to accelerate your goals. I particularly enjoy working with applicants pursuing careers in business or finance, though I help candidates across backgrounds move beyond resume bullets and develop thoughtful, authentic stories about motivation and impact. My focus isn’t just essay polishing; it’s helping you articulate a narrative that explains your past, shows intentionality in the present, and convincingly points to your future — all while remaining true to who you are. Subham Kedia is a venture investor at Hilti Venture, the corporate venture arm of the Hilti Group, where he focuses on investing in technologies transforming the built environment, including AI, robotics, and construction software. Prior to Hilti, he worked across strategy, private equity, and industrial technology at McKinsey & Company, Thoma Bravo, NCR Voyix, Alliance Technical Group, and Capsol Technologies, gaining experience across both operating and investing environments. Subham holds an MBA from The Wharton School, where he pursued a triple major in Finance, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Management. During his time at Wharton, he served as a Teaching Assistant for several business courses, co-founded Alokya — a venture recognized with awards from the Penn Wharton Innovation Fund — and actively mentored founders and fellow students. Beyond his professional work, Subham mentors early-stage AI founders at Outside the Box Ventures and has coached MBA applicants through the admissions process, helping them craft compelling narratives, refine essays, and prepare for interviews. He also holds an MS from Columbia University and a BS from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Subham works with applicants to develop clear positioning, sharpen their stories, and navigate the highly competitive MBA admissions process.

When I was applying to business schools, I had no direct experience of applying to US schools. However, my goal was to apply to internationally recognized business schools to ensure that I got the full benefit of taking 2 years out of my career to study full time. I had a small network of friends and mentors that had successfully been admitted into top-tier schools like HBS, Stanford GSB, MIT Sloan, and LBS. Without their guidance, I would not have successfully been admitted into my schools of choice. My MBA opened up opportunities for me to pivot from working in mining, to management consulting at BCG, and subsequently to senior strategy and operations roles at Capital One and Google. Now, I would love to pay it back - especially to folks with non-traditional backgrounds! I'm excited to support you with application strategy, crafting and refining your essays, or interview preparation.

My approach to MBA coaching combines my experience earning an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business with a background in business strategy, finance, and operations at companies including Google, William Blair, Wayfair, and Discover. Having navigated the MBA journey myself, I understand the importance of communicating not just what you've accomplished, but also how your experiences, motivations, and future goals come together to tell a compelling story. During my MBA, I presided over our student social organization, traveled abroad to enhance entrepreneurship developments in India, and led a team to a first-place finish in a business competition, further strengthening my ability to bring diverse perspectives together, develop a clear strategy, and translate ideas into results. In my professional career, I've worked across strategic planning, financial analysis, resource allocation, and executive decision-making. These experiences have shaped how I evaluate problems, communicate complex ideas, and identify the details that make a candidate's story stand out. As a coach, I help prospective MBA students approach the application process with greater clarity and confidence. I have coached 8 veterans as they transition from the military to various Business Schools, to include Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, and Booth. I have experience and demonstrated results with proofreading essays and crafting resumes. I have also helped several business school students prepare for job interviews, and I currently support Danaher's MBA recruiting efforts. While I specialize in non-traditional candidates, I have experience with traditional candidates who are applying to business school and those applying to consulting.

After being accepted to HBS as a college senior, for years I have helped people navigate the MBA admissions process for top deferred and traditional programs.
