Before attending Stanford Law, I studied at Duke University and earned a master’s degree in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford. I now practice law as an associate at Gibson Dunn, giving me perspective on the full trajectory from applying to law school to navigating law school and beginning a legal career. I know what it feels like to dream big--I didn't know anyone who had attended an Ivy League school when I started thinking about law school. If you're excited by the idea of getting into a reach school but don't know where to start, I'd love to help you along the way! I'm now seven years into practice as an attorney (law clerk --> public defender) and would love to share my passion for law school and lawyering with you.

Graduate from Yale University, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with successful T-14 application experience as a KJD. Accepted into Yale Law and multiple T-14 full ride offers. Attending Yale Law class of 2030 after a deferral year as a Weil Legal Innovator with the Innocence Project in NYC. I majored in history with a focus on migration, incarceration, and social justice, and am skilled at essay writing from start to finish including putting together a cohesive narrative. At Yale, I plan to pursue immigration and criminal law, given my background as a daughter of Mexican immigrants and my experience in public defense. I obtained a 177 LSAT and have experience LSAT tutoring as well as essay editing. I am eager to support any applicant study for the LSAT and put together a killer application that shows who you are and why law in a compelling way!

I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

I bring a unique perspective to law school admissions having served as the Director of Admissions at Stanford Graduate School of Education, where I reviewed joint degree applications including JD/MA programs. During my tenure at Stanford, I evaluated thousands of graduate applications annually and gained deep insight into how elite institutions assess candidates pursuing legal education combined with other disciplines.
