About
I've spent nearly 20 years helping leaders navigate complex challenges, make consequential decisions, build effective teams, and turn ambitious goals into results. My career includes serving three times as Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives, directly advising the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration during a national economic crisis, and serving as Vice President of a consulting firm, where I helped drive business development and organizational growth. I work with executives, aspiring Chiefs of Staff, emerging leaders, consultants, and professionals who want to take the next step in their careers. Whether you're preparing for a leadership role, navigating a difficult organizational challenge, strengthening your executive presence, developing a strategy, or learning to manage people more effectively, I bring practical insights from having faced many of those challenges firsthand. My coaching style is direct, collaborative, and results-oriented. I don't believe in generic advice or one-size-fits-all solutions. I take time to understand your circumstances, identify what's holding you back, and work with you to develop practical strategies you can implement immediately. Expect thoughtful questions, candid feedback, actionable recommendations, and an experienced sounding board who will challenge your thinking while supporting your growth. My goal is simple: to help you become a more confident, capable, and effective professional—and to give you the tools, perspective, and judgment to succeed long after our conversations end.
Kevin’s Executive Coaching Qualifications
Coaches professionally
Experience level: Manager
I bring nearly 20 years of executive leadership, strategic advisory, and organizational management experience, including three appointments as Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives. Throughout my career, I have worked directly with senior decision-makers, built and led high-performing teams, managed complex organizations, and helped executives navigate consequential decisions under intense pressure. As a senior executive at the U.S. Small Business Administration, I directly advised the Administrator during a national economic crisis. I also served as Vice President of a consulting firm, where I led client relationships, advised organizational leaders, and contributed to significant business growth. My executive coaching approach is grounded in firsthand leadership experience—not simply management theory. I understand the challenges of leading teams, establishing credibility, managing difficult personalities, making decisions with incomplete information, and balancing strategic responsibilities with day-to-day execution. I help executives and emerging leaders strengthen their executive presence, strategic thinking, communication, decision-making, organizational effectiveness, and ability to influence others. Whether you're stepping into your first executive position, preparing for greater leadership responsibilities, managing organizational change, or working to become a more effective leader, I provide practical, candid guidance tailored to your specific challenges and goals. My objective is to help you lead with confidence, exercise sound judgment, and deliver meaningful results.

Why do I coach?
Throughout my career, some of the most rewarding moments haven't been the high-profile meetings, major policy decisions, or organizational accomplishments. They've been watching people I've worked with develop confidence, take on greater responsibility, overcome difficult challenges, and grow into successful leaders. Having served in demanding leadership positions for nearly two decades, I've learned that professional success rarely comes from technical knowledge alone. Judgment, communication, self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to navigate people and organizations are often what separate capable professionals from exceptional leaders. These skills are developed through experience, good mentorship, and sometimes learning difficult lessons along the way. I've also seen how valuable it can be to have someone outside your immediate organization who understands the pressures you're facing—someone who can offer perspective, ask difficult questions, and provide candid advice without an agenda. I have benefited from those relationships throughout my own career, and I believe strongly in paying that forward. I coach because I enjoy helping people recognize their potential, think more strategically, and become better at what they do. Whether someone is pursuing their first leadership opportunity or already operating at the executive level, I find it genuinely rewarding to help them work through challenges, discover new possibilities, and achieve goals that once seemed out of reach.
