About
I've spent nearly 20 years helping leaders navigate complex challenges, make consequential decisions, build effective teams, and turn ambitious goals into results. My career includes serving three times as Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives, directly advising the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration during a national economic crisis, and serving as Vice President of a consulting firm, where I helped drive business development and organizational growth. I work with executives, aspiring Chiefs of Staff, emerging leaders, consultants, and professionals who want to take the next step in their careers. Whether you're preparing for a leadership role, navigating a difficult organizational challenge, strengthening your executive presence, developing a strategy, or learning to manage people more effectively, I bring practical insights from having faced many of those challenges firsthand. My coaching style is direct, collaborative, and results-oriented. I don't believe in generic advice or one-size-fits-all solutions. I take time to understand your circumstances, identify what's holding you back, and work with you to develop practical strategies you can implement immediately. Expect thoughtful questions, candid feedback, actionable recommendations, and an experienced sounding board who will challenge your thinking while supporting your growth. My goal is simple: to help you become a more confident, capable, and effective professional—and to give you the tools, perspective, and judgment to succeed long after our conversations end.
Kevin’s Chief of Staff Qualifications
Coaches professionally
Experience level: Vice President
I've spent nearly 20 years working at the intersection of executive leadership, strategy, and operations, including serving three times as Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives. I've also served as a senior executive at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where I directly advised the Administrator during a national economic crisis, and as Vice President of a consulting firm, where I helped drive business development and organizational growth. What sets me apart as a Chief of Staff coach is that I've actually done the job—repeatedly, in high-pressure environments where executive judgment, discretion, leadership, and execution matter every day. I've built and led teams, established executive workflows, managed competing priorities, navigated difficult stakeholders, prepared senior leaders for consequential decisions, and translated complex strategies into actionable plans. I understand that an exceptional Chief of Staff is much more than a project manager or executive assistant. The role requires being a trusted advisor, strategic thought partner, problem solver, and force multiplier for the principal. I help aspiring and experienced Chiefs of Staff develop those capabilities, strengthen their executive presence, navigate organizational politics, communicate with confidence, establish effective operating rhythms, and become indispensable partners to the leaders they serve. My coaching is practical, candid, and grounded in firsthand experience. Whether you're preparing to become a Chief of Staff, transitioning into the role, or looking to perform at a higher level, I'll help you develop the judgment, tools, and confidence to succeed.

Why do I coach?
Throughout my career, some of the most rewarding moments haven't been the high-profile meetings, major policy decisions, or organizational accomplishments. They've been watching people I've worked with develop confidence, take on greater responsibility, overcome difficult challenges, and grow into successful leaders. Having served in demanding leadership positions for nearly two decades, I've learned that professional success rarely comes from technical knowledge alone. Judgment, communication, self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to navigate people and organizations are often what separate capable professionals from exceptional leaders. These skills are developed through experience, good mentorship, and sometimes learning difficult lessons along the way. I've also seen how valuable it can be to have someone outside your immediate organization who understands the pressures you're facing—someone who can offer perspective, ask difficult questions, and provide candid advice without an agenda. I have benefited from those relationships throughout my own career, and I believe strongly in paying that forward. I coach because I enjoy helping people recognize their potential, think more strategically, and become better at what they do. Whether someone is pursuing their first leadership opportunity or already operating at the executive level, I find it genuinely rewarding to help them work through challenges, discover new possibilities, and achieve goals that once seemed out of reach.
