Package Description:

An aspect of the application that I really enjoy is reviewing personal statements. It goes without saying, personal statements are hugely important. It piques the interest of the schools and helps the applicant drive home why they are the perfect fit for the PA profession. My goal isn't to change the personal statement to what I think is best. I want to leave what you feel best represents why you are ready for being a PA and your story. My focus is improving flow, editing errors, suggesting improvements in phrasing and/or overall layout. Simply put, I nitpick and tune up the personal statements so they are application ready. My suggestion, come to me with your final draft or close to it. I believe it is much more beneficial that way rather than editing a first draft, as oftentimes there is much that could be improved and the author could see many of those things themselves. The goal here isn't to make you feel bad or brutally attack your personal statement. My job is to address it as someone critiquing and evaluating the statement as a good fit for a program.

Generally, I will have the personal statement shared with me in a google doc so that I can edit. When I am done reviewing the personal statement I like to have a video call to discuss the changes and tighten up loose ends if needed. I find it to be beneficial, but ultimately, it is up to you!

I excelled in both undergrad and graduate school. I was accepted to graduate school my first year of applying. (1 of 50 students in the class out of >1000 applicants) I received invitations to interview at 5 different graduate schools. (RMUoHP, UofU, Pacific U, Western, AT Still and interest from UC Davis) I know what it takes to make an applicant stand out from other applicants by making sure their application is strong. I can give good perspectives and suggestions on personal statements required for the application process. I consider myself a good interviewer and can give pointers and advice on how to best present oneself.
