Payments

  • Are payments safe on Leland?

    100%. We partner with Stripe to provide safe and secure payment processing.

  • I'm applying from overseas. What countries do you support?

    We welcome applicants from 44 countries across the world to use Leland! Those 44 countries are dictated by Stripe's ability to process payments from different locations. If you are from a country that is not on this list, feel free to reach out with questions or engage with some of our free online resources.

  • Are payment plans available?

    Yes! They are available at checkout.

  • What is your refund policy?

    For our general refund policy, please read here. If there is an emergency situation, submit a support request, and we will do our best to accommodate you. For group classes, we require a request be sent at least 24 hours before the class to consider a refund, given seats are limited and to protect our coaches.

Customers

  • Do you guarantee success?

    Unfortunately, no. When it comes to building your career, receiving your target test scores, or getting into your dream schools, there are a number of factors that are out of our, your, and/or your coach's control. Working with a coach will greatly increase your chances of success, but we can't guarantee your desired outcome (Read more about our Terms of Service here.)

  • What if I do not achieve my desired accomplishment? What's your refund policy?

    We do not refund based on results. (See above.)

  • I bought a comprehensive package, for how long am I eligible to redeem those services?

    Every package is different because they are created custom by each coach. When discussing whether or not you'd like to purchase a package with a coach, make sure to ask how long the services are redeemable.

Coach Relations

  • I had an issue with my coach. Can I get a refund?

    As a rule, we do not offer refunds. We vet all coaches on Leland and expect them to provide the very best admissions guidance. If you're not satisfied with your coaching experience, please submit a support request, and we'll be happy to discuss any issues with you.

  • I bought coaching hours. How long until those purchased hours expire?

    Hours are valid until they have all been redeemed OR 90 days from the time of purchase.

Coaches

  • When will I get paid?

    You'll receive payment seven days after you accept a client's request for work. We hold funds in Stripe for a week to protect both client and coach, then deposit the money directly into the account you set up during onboarding.

  • Can I import reviews from other websites?

    When a new coach joins the platform, we allow a one-time upload of reviews from other sites or off-platform clients. Reviews play a significant role in helping customers feel confident about you as a coach, and we want to help you establish credibility as you launch your coaching business on Leland. During your coach onboarding, we will send you the link to load your manual reviews. Then, our team will verify each submission to ensure quality and legitimacy. Once approved, we will upload them onto the Leland platform. We upload off-platform reviews two times a month. If you have any questions, please submit a support request.

  • Who can sign up as a coach on Leland?

    We welcome anyone who has either successfully gone through an application or admissions process themselves or has helped others successfully apply. MBA and undergraduate coaches range from current students to alumni, professional consultants to side-hustling writers; career coaches range from current and former employees of top companies, and more! Visit our coach page to learn more and apply. We'll review your profile and determine if you're a good fit.

  • Can I delete a bad review?

    We do not delete reviews unless there is a reason to believe the review is inaccurate or falsely reported. If you have a concern, please submit a support request.
