This comprehensive coaching package is the one I wish I had when I first entered the industry. It covers all the essential sessions to prepare you thoroughly, guiding you through every step of the IB recruiting process from start to finish. This package includes all of the following phases and sessions: Pre-Interview Preparation 1. Phase 1 - Career & Professional Development Goals (~1 hour): This will be our level setting session and lay the groundwork to help me tailor what is to come. It is all about you, so I want to know more about your personal story, professional goals, career aspirations, and what excites you about investment banking. I also want to uncover your strengths and weaknesses here and set you up on the road towards success. This is also a great time to talk through subjects like: what are the right groups for me, what firms should I be targeting, is IB really right for me, and any other questions you might have but haven’t been able to ask! 2. Phase 2 - Resume, Linkedin, and Application Review (3-6 hours asynchronously): During this phase, we will start to review all of your application materials with a particular focus on crafting the perfect resume to really let your accomplishments shine. We will also review your Linkedin and any other application materials you may need to submit. Here, we will work asynchronously and pass comments back and forth. We will also leave some time for a call (optional) if needed. 3. Phase 3 - Networking Strategy and Coffee Chats (45 minutes): During this phase, for the first 30 minutes we will formulate a networking strategy to reach out and meet with key stakeholders at target firms. We will spend the final 15 minutes discussing coffee chat strategies to prepare you for your first conversations. 4. Phase 4 - Networking Strategy and Coffee Chats (45 minutes): During this phase, for the first 30 minutes we will formulate a networking strategy to reach out and meet with key stakeholders at target firms. We will spend the final 15 minutes discussing coffee chat strategies to prepare you for your first conversations. Interview Preparation 5. Phase 5 - Coffee Chat Mock Session (30 minutes): In this session, we will practice coffee chats with key stakeholders at target firms. This is the first in-person impression so we will work to make it count! 6. Phase 6 - HR "Fit & Interest" Screening (45 minutes total): We will do a 30-minute mock interview that will prepare you for your first call with an HR professional at your bank of interest. While not as technical in nature, these interviews are paramount to getting to the next round and each applicant has few chances to really shine so lets make this count! After the initial 30 minute mock interview, we'll spend an additional 15 minutes going through feedback, answering any questions you may have, and devising the right strategy to get you ready for the real thing. 7. Phase 7 - Behavioral Interviews (45 hr total): On to the next round, we will do a 30-minute mock interview that will prepare you for the qualitative aspects of the IB process that you can expect to encounter on your Super Day. The interview will largely focus on behavioral questions, including your "why." After the initial 30-minute mock interview, we'll spend another 15 minutes going through feedback and getting your game day ready! 8. Phase 8 - Technical Interview (1 hr total): In this session, we will focus on the technical interview components of your IB Super Day including accounting questions, valuation, and brain teasers. After our 30 minute mock interview, we will talk through feedback and tips and strategies to prepare to ace all of your technical questions! 9. Phase 9 - The Full Mock Interview (1 hr total): Here, we will try to pull everything together in to one final mock interview. We will be spending 40 minutes on our mock interview session focusing on the fit, behavioral, and technical questions. This will be the most intense session yet and really prepare you to crush your IB process. We will leave 20 minutes for feedback and any last questions on strategies to prepare any weak points going forward. 10. Phase 10 - Drill Down on Any Problem Areas (45 mins): In this last session, we will identify which of the areas above (technical, behavioral, mock) we would like to have one more feedback session for. This is an opportunity to sure up any holes you feel you still have in your interview prep. Post Interview: 11. Phase 11 – Deciding on the Right Offer (45 mins): Now that you have multiple IB Offers, we can take our final session to decide which one is the best fit for you. Here we can focus on the right firm, the right group, or both!
