Stephanie Gomes Hogan

I bring both rigorous conservatory training and years of firsthand experience as a professional working actor in theatre, film, and television. I earned my BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University and have since built a career performing in New York with organizations including New 42, A.R.T. New York Theatre, Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, and Abrons Arts Center, as well as working in film and television. I understand the realities of the profession because I’m actively living them—from auditioning and self-taping to rehearsals, workshops, set work, and collaborating with directors and creative teams. I’ve experienced the nerves, uncertainty, breakthroughs, and preparation that come with pursuing this career. As a coach, I combine the rigor of my training with a supportive, actor-centered approach. My goal isn’t to impose a particular way of performing, but to help each actor uncover what is already interesting and truthful in their work, make strong, specific choices, and walk into the room with greater confidence and clarity. I believe great coaching should ultimately make an actor feel more like themselves—not less.
