About

I’m an actor, writer, producer, and acting coach based in New York City. I have a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University and have worked across theater, film, and television, including projects with artists and institutions like Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, A.R.T./New York, and Jeremy O’Harris and Michael Arden. I’m passionate about helping actors become more confident, specific, and connected to their work—whether that means preparing for an audition, breaking down a scene, finding a character, or simply getting out of their own way. I bring a professional actor’s perspective to coaching, but I also understand what it’s like to be figuring things out in real time. I love working with actors who are serious about their craft but want the process to feel creative, collaborative, and human. My goal is always to help you walk away feeling more prepared, more confident, and more like yourself.

Stephanie’s Acting Qualifications

Coaches professionally

Experience level: Director

I bring both rigorous conservatory training and years of firsthand experience as a professional working actor in theatre, film, and television. I earned my BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University and have since built a career performing in New York with organizations including New 42, A.R.T. New York Theatre, Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, and Abrons Arts Center, as well as working in film and television. I understand the realities of the profession because I’m actively living them—from auditioning and self-taping to rehearsals, workshops, set work, and collaborating with directors and creative teams. I’ve experienced the nerves, uncertainty, breakthroughs, and preparation that come with pursuing this career. As a coach, I combine the rigor of my training with a supportive, actor-centered approach. My goal isn’t to impose a particular way of performing, but to help each actor uncover what is already interesting and truthful in their work, make strong, specific choices, and walk into the room with greater confidence and clarity. I believe great coaching should ultimately make an actor feel more like themselves—not less.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I genuinely love the process of helping another actor discover what makes them interesting. Acting can be incredibly vulnerable, and sometimes the thing standing between an actor and their best work is simply having someone in the room who can help them see what they’re already doing well. I love helping actors get out of their heads, trust their instincts, make bold choices, and feel more grounded in their own voice. Coaching also keeps me connected to the part of acting I love most: the creative process. Every actor brings something different to the room, and I’m constantly inspired by that. I don’t want to give you a formula for how to act—I want to help you become more fully yourself as an artist.
