Now moving into Private Equity, I work with candidates across technical preparation, behavioral interviews, and resume development. Having been through the process myself — and having sat on the other side as an interviewer — I know how tough it can be to go through recruiting without real, honest advice. After graduating from Hamilton College, I worked in investment banking for 6 years, with experience across Goldman Sachs' TMT group in San Francisco and Bank of America's Healthcare group in New York. Today, I am a Private Equity Associate at ZMC, a middle-market private equity firm focused on technology, media, and entertainment. I have firsthand experience recruiting for investment banking internships, lateral positions, and private equity. At each firm that I've worked at throughout my career, I have made it a point to be heavily involved in the recruiting process and have conducted numerous interviews for a variety of roles. After being just 1 of a select 30 sophomore interns, at Bank of America, I progressed to complete a junior-year internship, and receive a full-time offer at the firm. Upon joining BofA full time within Global Capital Markets, I was promoted to Associate after two years of being a top-ranked analyst. During my four years I helped underwrite over $200B of capital market transactions.
