How To Get The Interview Invite
It's applications season and you need to build your beachhead. This gets you a resume worth sending, a carefully crafted story that is unique to you and worth telling, and an outreach that actually gets answered. No theories; I will be distilling the playbook that I used successfuly and which I have taught to generations of candidates after. You get three and a half hours, one async and two live. 1) Resume editing. Send over your resume and I will rewrite it after an initial call (15-30 minutes) to align on your unique positioning. I will then send it back with targeted guidance on what changed and how to use it. 2) Your IB story, Ninety minutes. An IB story that only you can tell. Guaranteed. The resulting pack will resolve the related questions with tremendous confidence (Walk me through your resume; Tell me about yourself; Why investment banking; Why our group; Etc.). More importantly, and as you will find out as we work together, your IB story is one you will continue to tell beyond the summer internship and through hitting the desk full time. It should be crafted thoughtfully. 3) Networking, Sixty minutes. We will work through your real conversations, not a theory of networking. How to run an outreach that bankers cannot ignore? Who to reach out to at each bank (this is critcal)? How to run 15-minute calls/meetings? Who to talk to? What to do at each step? This will be real choreography. I sat on recruiting teams at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs and personally screened candidates. The three answers below are the ones that decide whether a coffee chat turns into a referral.
What's included
This service will be delivered via a blended asynchronous format. We will kick off with a 15–30-minute live Strategy Session to unpack your professional bio and align on goals/expectations. Afterwards, I will deliver the edited resume and then transition to working on your IB story and networking strategy. The latter two would be delivered via live deep-dive sessions.
- A well-written investment banking resume tailored to your unique positioning
- A "Why IB" story that only you can tell. This is the meaning of strategic differentiation!
- An outreach/networking plan written in your own words, with execution guardrails

Ex-Goldman VP & Physician | Clients Land at Goldman, Morgan Stanley & BofA
I made the leap few people make: from clinical medicine to Wall Street. After training as a physician and earning a Yale MPH, I went to Tuck for my MBA and became an investment banker, rising to Vice President at Goldman Sachs after starting in M&A at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, advising on $200M–$11B+ deals. Today, I am an independent sponsor private equity professional. I know exactly what it takes to reposition a clinical or non-traditional background for finance, because I did it. Relatedly, I coach three things I’ve lived: breaking into investment banking, getting into a top MBA program as a non-traditional applicant, and ETA. You can expect direct, structured, high-signal feedback — the same standard I held on a deal team.
