I’ve been on both sides of the MBA admissions process, including getting rejected one year and accepted the next, and that experience fundamentally shapes how I coach. I earned my MBA from Stanford GSB after initially being turned down, and I know firsthand that success isn’t about becoming “more impressive,” but about becoming clearer, more honest, and more intentional in how you tell your story. I especially enjoy working with nontraditional candidates who have taken risks, pursued unconventional paths, or are charting their own way forward. Before business school, I worked at McKinsey & Company and later led large-scale operations at Rocket Internet and Uber across multiple countries. Since then, I’ve founded and scaled mission-driven companies, including the country's largest worker cooperative, raised capital, served on boards, and won a Tony as a Broadway producer. I coach applicants to articulate not just what they’ve done, but why it matters, how they think, and who they are as leaders. My approach is candid, strategic, and deeply personal. I help you identify the through-line in your experiences, pressure-test your goals, and craft essays that sound like you, not a consultant-written version of you. I’m particularly well-suited to working with nontraditional candidates, reapplicants, and those navigating career pivots, because I’ve lived those paths myself.

I graduated with my MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I was an Arjay Miller Scholar in the top 10% of the class. My background includes serving as Co-President of Women in Management at Stanford, where I supported women-focused admissions programming, and as an alumni interviewer for Yale University. With experience in private equity and leadership roles at Morgan Stanley, I have a deep understanding of what top business schools and companies seek. I've supported coaching clients in crafting compelling applications and navigating the competitive MBA admissions process. Coming from a non-traditional STEM background, I’m especially well-positioned to help candidates who don’t fit the “traditional” MBA mold translate their unique experiences into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with admissions committees. My background in management consulting and client services has trained me to ask the right questions, uncover what truly differentiates your story, and communicate those ideas clearly - skills I apply directly to reviewing essays, resumes, and interview prep. Having also personally tested nearly every major MBA prep resource (e.g., Applicant Lab, Forte MBA Launch, Target Test Prep, GMAT and GRE official materials, Magoosh, and others), I can offer candid guidance on which additional tools are actually worth your time and investment. I just completed one of the most competitive MBA application cycles in history, earning admission to MIT Sloan (where I'll be attending), Columbia Business School, Kellogg, Booth, and Stern—with interviews at 6 of the 7 M7 schools I applied to. But what truly qualifies me as a coach isn't just my own success—it's my passion for teaching. I currently guest lecture at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and have spent years mentoring Accenture analysts, teaching underprivileged children in India, and leading pro-bono consulting projects. My family's legacy in education taught me that the best coaches don't just know the material; they genuinely care about their students' success. As a strategy consultant at Accenture for 4 years, I've honed the storytelling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills that make MBA applications successful. I've lived this process recently and intimately, tackling diverse essay formats and navigating competitive interview processes. I succeeded as a public university graduate breaking into M7 schools and understand how to position unique backgrounds as strengths. I am a great MBA coach because of the unique process and framework I developed and followed to obtain admission to multiple top 10 MBA programs. I come from a low-income first generation immigrant and college student background. I have experienced first hand what it's like to undergo the application process as an underdog by multiple measures and emerge victorious. I know how to navigate the common pitfalls and how to build a competitive application that punches above its weight. In addition, I have a passion for passing on the torch to the next generation and pulling folks up as I climb. In my free time I coach/mentor multiple students and professionals that share my background and have repeatedly heard from them that my advice, clear communication, and encouragement was instrumental in helping them achieve their academic and career goals. My qualifications here come from sitting on both sides of the MBA experience. I earned my own MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, starting the program in person and finishing online in 2015, when online graduate education was still relatively new. Combined with my other graduate degrees at Northwestern Medill, Harvard, and UIC, I have a real feel for how different learning formats work and what admissions committees across top programs tend to value. I scored well on the GMAT, I understand how applications are actually read, and over the years, I have written dozens of letters of recommendation for applicants. Nearly every one of them has landed at a top program, including schools like Harvard and Columbia. What I bring that many admissions coaches do not is practical business experience. I have founded multiple successful companies, including RevEng Consulting, and have spent more than 20 years in the business world at companies like SAP and LinkedIn. That lets me help applicants move past generic, theoretical essays and build specific, credible stories that resonate with admissions committees. RevEng also regularly hosts MBA interns, most recently a group from the University of Michigan in 2025, so I stay close to what current programs teach and how students are evaluated.

I’m a CPA and a Tax Manager at Deloitte. I’m on Leland because I know what it’s like to feel "pigeonholed" in a highly technical, niche role while eyeing a top-tier MBA. I successfully pivoted from Big 4 Tax to securing Full-Ride Scholarships at both Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg, along with admission and scholarship offers from MIT Sloan, Columbia (CBS), Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, Dartmouth Tuck and NYU Stern. My focus is helping "quiet" professionals translate their technical rigor into the high-impact leadership stories that M7 schools look for.
