About
Hi, I’m June. I’m a CPA and currently a Tax Manager at a Big 4 accounting firm. I’m on Leland to help people who are balancing a demanding career with the pressure of standardized testing. I know how it feels to come from a "quiet," highly technical background like Big 4 Tax and wonder if you can stand out. For me, the GRE was the key to opening those doors. I scored a 332 total, with a perfect 170 on the Quant section, while working full-time in Big 4. That score helped me go from a niche tax role to securing Full-Ride Scholarships at both Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg. I also received admission and scholarship offers from MIT Sloan, Columbia (CBS), Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, and NYU Stern.
June’s MBA Qualifications
I’m a CPA and a Tax Manager at Deloitte. I’m on Leland because I know what it’s like to feel "pigeonholed" in a highly technical, niche role while eyeing a top-tier MBA. I successfully pivoted from Big 4 Tax to securing Full-Ride Scholarships at both Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg, along with admission and scholarship offers from MIT Sloan, Columbia (CBS), Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, Dartmouth Tuck and NYU Stern. My focus is helping "quiet" professionals translate their technical rigor into the high-impact leadership stories that M7 schools look for. I’ve lived the 60+ hour work week grind while navigating the application cycle, and I’m here to help you audit your own experience to find the threads that lead to an M7 acceptance (and hopefully with scholarships).

Why do I coach?
I coach because I know what it’s like to feel "invisible" in a highly specialized, technical role. For 7+ years in Big 4 Tax, I worked on complex tax matters, but when I decided to pivot toward an MBA, I initially worried my background was too "quiet" to compete. I realized quickly that the GRE wasn't just another test; it was my way to prove my quantitative rigor and create a launchpad for my career pivot. I coach to help others realize that their "niche" background is a strength, not a limitation. Balancing a 60+ hour work week in Big 4 Tax while studying for a perfect Quant score wasn't easy. I had to learn how to be incredibly efficient with my time and strategic with my energy. I want to share those same strategies with you. Whether you’re a fellow CPA looking to break out of a specific career path or a professional from any "technical" field, I’m here to help you hit the scores that turn "maybe" into a "yes". For me, coaching is about more than just formulas; it’s about giving you the same confidence I found when I realized my technical precision was exactly what top-tier schools were looking for.
