Hi there! My name is Maria Curry, and I'm a recent graduate from Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, I graduated from the dual-degree Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton & the College), where I studied Finance and International Studies, with a minor in Spanish. After undergrad, I worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and later in growth equity as an investor in the tech sector. At HBS, I explored my passion for the entertainment and media industry, interning at Prime Video for the summer, and have recently joined a sports ownership group for full-time in a strategy role. I earned my MBA from INSEAD, one of the world's leading business schools, and successfully navigated a highly competitive admissions process as an international applicant. Professionally, I worked as a Management Consultant in the Private Equity practice at Bain & Company in London (where I also involved in the recruitment program for fresh consultants) before joining Sana Labs in a GTM leadership role. Sana Labs was later acquired by Workday in one of Europe's largest AI acquisitions, giving me firsthand experience in a fast growing, high impact technology company. Throughout my career, I have interviewed candidates, mentored professionals, and helped peers refine their applications, essays, resumes, and interview preparation. I understand what top business schools look for beyond strong test scores, including clarity of purpose, authentic storytelling, leadership potential, and career vision. I hold an MBA from the Yale School of Management, where I concentrated in Management Science. I was admitted to three of the four MBA programs I applied to — Yale, Kellogg, and NYU Stern — and ultimately chose Yale. Prior to business school, I spent nearly five years in advisory and finance roles, including as an Advisory Consultant at Deloitte, an Analyst at Goldin Associates, and a Consultant at Capco, where I led workstreams for Tier 1 global banks. I also completed a summer in Public Finance and Infrastructure Banking at BMO Capital Markets. Following my undergraduate studies at NYU Stern, I returned to the school as a Corporate Finance Teaching Fellow. During my MBA at Yale, I served as a Teaching Assistant for Competitive Strategy and for Basics of Accounting and Economics, and was President of the General Management Club. I also competed in several case competitions, placing 2nd in the DraftKings Innovation Challenge and advancing to the semifinals of the Paramount Media and Entertainment Case Competition. Since graduating, I have built my career across Big Tech and strategy consulting: I completed Amazon's Finance Leadership Development Program and worked as a Finance Manager within Global Customer Development; served as an Engagement Manager at SIA, leading enterprise cost-transformation work for a self-regulatory organization; and currently work as a Manager at Synpulse, developing strategic plans for banking clients. This range allows me to speak credibly with early-career professionals pursuing careers in consulting, banking, or technology.

As an IESE Business School and Imperial College London alumni (scoring in Top 10% of my classes, respectively), my MBA coaching journey began in 2020 after my experience at Harvard Business School’s Summer Venture in Management program, where I coached ambitious undergrads through their Deferred MBA Programs, securing admits from: MIT Sloan, Yale SOM, HBS 2+2, and Moelis Advance Access for Wharton. Since 2020, I have cultivated an MBA/MiM/Master coaching toolkit that encompasses: goals-first, logic-first, culture-fit first sense of executive and corporate storytelling for the M7 universities in the United States and for the top executive programs in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and greater-Asia. Now, I coach a selective clientele all over the world, with recent success stories involving international admits to UChicago Booth (with 60% scholarship), most notably. I'm a Stanford MBA graduate and former management consultant, excited to help you prepare your best possible MBA application. After graduating from Ohio State University, I started my career at EY-Parthenon, first in Sydney, Australia, and then in New York full-time. During my time at EY-Parthenon, At Parthenon I specialized in the consumer products and retail sectors, and served on the firm's Americas strategy committee. I did a lot of research into which MBA programs I wanted to apply to and why. When applying, I carefully crafted a strategy centered around acing the GMAT exam and applying early to my top schools. In the end, I was able to get through the admissions process by getting admitted early into my top school, and in the end, I only had to apply to 3 programs. I was able to navigate this process with a great degree of optimization and I think a lot of that was because I had a clear vision for why I wanted to do my MBA and what I wanted to get out of it. Because I took the time to reflect on my story, I was able to put my best foot forward in my applications and experience great success. I'll now be matriculating to an M7 program this year.
