HBS/GSB Dual-Admit | Helping LAC students break into top MBA programs

HBS/GSB dual-admit and Fulbright recipient with internship experience across management consulting, entrepreneurship, and education. Since going through the deferred MBA process one year ago, I have a firm grasp of what makes a compelling application in today's admissions landscape. Specifically, I've mentored applicants who fall into two main categories: 1. Traditional applicants (incoming MBB+ consultants/IB/PE) looking to differentiate themselves in the application process. I help applicants identify a core "theme" to base their story behind, and work with them to highlight how their 'traditional' pre-MBA role fits in. 2. Students from non-business backgrounds (liberal arts college students with experiences outside traditional "business" fields). I graduated from Bowdoin College and learned how to connect extracurriculars spanning nonprofits and education into a cohesive, compelling narrative that helped set me apart in interviews. If you're already in the process of applying to programs like Harvard and Stanford, or are exploring whether it's the right choice for you, I'd love to share my personal insights as well as offer advice on how to take your application to the next level.

Stanford GSB | Helping You Tell the Story Behind the Stats

I tend to take the long way around, learning lessons the hard way and trying to fail forward. I’m energized by sharing those lessons and helping people with similar tendencies, backgrounds, and ambitions be a step ahead of where I was when I was in their shoes. At one point in my life, I started doing things for the plot. At a certain point, the plot started happening to me. If you’re someone who focuses less on test scores, though they do matter, and more on the story, the journey, and how all the pieces fit together, we’d probably be a great fit. Now for the baseball card stats: - I’m a 2025 Stanford GSB grad. - I went to Florida State and cold emailed 1,000 people to get a job in banking. I got fired after a year. - I failed forward and cold emailed my way into BCG. Didn’t get fired this time. I actually liked it, but eventually got bored and wanted to get closer to my dream of becoming a CEO. - So I moved to Kenya and joined Jumia, Africa’s first unicorn, where I launched and scaled a 20-minute grocery delivery business across 10 African countries to $10M+ in GMV in 18 months. - I applied to business school twice. - The first time, I applied to six schools and got zero interviews. I wasn’t ready. - The second time, I hired a consultant, applied to HBS and GSB, and got into both. That last part is a big reason I coach. I’ve been incredibly blessed with mentorship and guidance in my life, and I know firsthand how much the right person can change your trajectory. I want to provide some of that for other people. I’m not going to tell you there’s one perfect path or some secret formula to getting into business school. There isn’t. But I can help you understand your story, figure out what actually matters, sharpen your strategy, avoid some of the mistakes I made, and put together an application that sounds like you. If that sounds useful, drop me a line. Let’s chat.

Current Stanford MBA | Story Formation & Essay Help for MBA Applicants

Hi there! I’m Cami, a current MBA student at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Having gone through the MBA application process myself just last year, I know firsthand how overwhelming—and, at times, deeply personal—the process can feel. For me, the application process became much more than putting together a strong application. It gave me the opportunity to reflect on what motivates me, what sets me apart, and what I genuinely care about. I’m excited to help prospective MBA students do the same by developing an application that feels authentically theirs while putting their strongest foot forward. I was fortunate to receive admits to Stanford GSB, Wharton, Kellogg, and Columbia, along with more than $200,000 in merit-based scholarships. Before business school, I spent four years as a management consultant in New York, where I coached new hires on storytelling and both written and verbal communication. Combined with my lifelong passion for writing, this experience has given me a strong foundation in personal brand development, essay strategy, and application writing and review. Whether you’re starting from scratch, shaping your personal story, or putting the finishing touches on your essays, I’d love to help you build an application that reflects who you are and where you want to go. Feel free to reach out—I’d be excited to work with you!

I was admitted to the JD/MBA programs at Stanford, Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania, and have since coached candidates to successful admits at Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, MIT Sloan, and Darden. I bring both firsthand admissions experience and a deep understanding of how elite schools assess leadership potential, career logic, and narrative clarity. I work best with candidates who are accomplished but non-traditional, including international applicants, consultants seeking to pivot, and entrepreneurs or family-business operators, helping them position their experience clearly and confidently in a highly competitive pool.

  • Travis M.

Finance Executive. Educator. LSE MPA Candidate. Helping Future Leaders

Business school has the potential to change the trajectory of your life. I know because it changed mine. As a first-generation college graduate who grew up in public housing, I learned early that talent alone isn't enough. Opportunities often come to those who can clearly communicate their potential, connect seemingly unrelated experiences into a compelling narrative, and articulate a vision for the future. That's exactly what admissions committees are looking for. My career has taken me from structured finance at Wells Fargo Securities to distressed investing at Lone Star Funds, real estate development at Trammell Crow Company, affordable housing and community development, entrepreneurship as the founder of Meridian Advisory, and public policy through my Executive Master's studies at the London School of Economics. I also serve as Director of Financial Wellbeing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and teach Real Estate Capital Markets as an adjunct instructor at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Those experiences have shown me that the strongest applications aren't built around impressive resumes. They're built around authentic stories with a clear sense of purpose. As your coach, I'll help you identify what makes your journey distinctive, refine your leadership narrative, and present your experiences with clarity and confidence. Whether we're working on school selection, essays, resumes, interviews, or overall application strategy, my goal is to ensure your application reflects your highest potential, not what you think an admissions committee wants to hear. I work especially well with applicants who have complex or unconventional backgrounds, including first-generation students, career pivoters, finance and real estate professionals, public sector leaders, entrepreneurs, military veterans, and applicants seeking to connect technical expertise with a compelling leadership story. My coaching style is thoughtful, candid, and collaborative. I'll challenge your assumptions, ask difficult questions, and help you uncover the themes that connect your experiences into a narrative that is both authentic and memorable. Admissions committees aren't simply evaluating where you've been. They're investing in where you're going. My role is to help you tell that story in a way that reflects who you are and the impact you aspire to make.
