Hey there! I'm Katie—I earned dual MBA/MPA degrees at Stanford GSB and SPIA, and coach admissions for MBA, MPA, and fellowship programs for graduate and undergraduate students. I grew up in Tennessee, and got life-changing opportunities to gain a higher education through three fully-paid programs: the Jefferson Scholarship, the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship, and Princeton SPIA's funded MPA program. I've successfully navigated admissions to multiple MBA and MPA programs, and have weighed virtually every combination of joint degree and fellowship program out there. I know how high-stakes these application processes can feel, and how important it is to develop an application and interview in a way that reflects what you uniquely bring to the table. Beyond my own experience, I've spent six years serving on scholarship and admissions selection committees. I've seen how reviewers read applications, what makes essays memorable, and how candidates can avoid common obstacles in the process. I've coached +20 students through every stage of the process—from preparing for standardized tests and identifying the right programs, to crafting compelling narratives and preparing for interviews that feel authentic. Beyond working in investment policy, I love exploring running routes through my new hometown of San Francisco, dabbling on the piano, playing tennis at the park up the street, and hosting dinner parties with my wife.

I bring a unique perspective to college and MBA admissions coaching because I’ve experienced the process from both sides, as an advisor and as an applicant. After graduating from undergrad, I worked at the business school at UCLA in student affairs, where I collaborated closely with admissions and supported prospective students through their journey. I had the opportunity to coach applicants, answer their questions honestly, and help them understand what admissions committees are truly looking for. I also served on my undergraduate alma mater’s admissions committee, where I reviewed applications and essays, giving me direct insight into how candidates are evaluated. After going through the MBA application process myself, I realized how valuable genuine, strategic guidance is. Too often, applicants receive vague advice, especially when networking, and it can be difficult to know how to stand out while still being authentic. That’s why my approach is rooted in honesty and clarity. I help applicants connect the dots between their experiences, their goals, and their story in a way that feels true to who they are. My goal is not to help you become who you think admissions wants but to help you present the strongest, most authentic version of yourself. You’ll always get real answers, thoughtful strategy, and guidance from someone who truly understands the process.

I'm currently a Stanford MBA (where I'm the Student Body Co-President), and have 5+years of college admissions coaching experience. Before GSB, I spent time as a teacher (focusing on essay writing and story telling) and as a management consultant. Over the years working in admissions consulting, I have helped students based in the US, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore successfully apply to school. I'm here to help you create a stellar MBA application that can launch you into a top program in a way that tells your authentic story. As a coach, I bring a structured, honest, and tailored approach to the application process. Beyond my teaching experience, I also have a BA in Economics, Psychology, and Creative Writing from Northwestern University through which I learned how to help people navigate their truest stories. I'm particularly experienced at helping prospective MBAs figure out how the MBA would play into their larger goals as people and as professionals. I graduated from Harvard Business School and have 10+ years of coaching experience. I have helped numerous clients get into Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and M7 as well as land jobs in banking & investing. I previously worked for the University of Michigan career center helping students apply for investment banking jobs and have reviewed hundreds of resumes, cover letters and mock interviews. I have also spent many years working with non-profits such as Synergist to mentor college women interested in business and finance and Minds Matter to help first-generation high school students apply to college. I take a hands-on approach and strive to help every one of my clients reflect their best true potential.

Was admitted to multiple M7 business schools and was the Veteran's association Co-President at MIT Sloan where I analyzed many applications for MIT and other business schools. In my coaching career, I have assisted 100+ candidates applying to business schools (mostly M7 but have experience across most T20) and provided coaching on school selection, resume reviews, essay storylining and brainstorming, as well as interview preparation.
