With over 20 years of experience in public health, I am a seasoned researcher and evaluator with a passion for qualitative research and harnessing people-driven insights. As the former Chief Research and Evaluation Officer at Texas Health Institute, I led a team of researchers and evaluators, conducting impactful studies and evaluations at the national, state, and community level. I am currently leading a team of 40 on a large data analytics project for Medicaid. I have also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor for Public Health at The University of Texas at Austin, where I taught courses on health policy, global health, and more. With my expertise in research and evaluation, I have successfully coached 20+ individuals in their journey to master's programs and over fifty for undergraduate admissions to top schools. I have had several years experience with College Admissions consulting, helping students get into their dream schools including some of the most competitive institutions nationally and internationally (UCLA, Cornell, UPenn, Duke to name a few). I have also specialized in helping students apply to niche programs, graduate and MBA programs, and schools like Brigham Young University, but that's not all. My professional career has included my role as a management consultant, where I built pricing models for insurance companies, evaluated presidential foundations’ programming, and improved marketing at large corporations. What most informs my approach to admissions, however, is my time working on the other side of the admissions process as Director of Admissions for the University of Redlands School of Education and later Regional Director of Enrollment and Operations for both the School of Education and the School of Business. In addition, I was an Assistant Director of Recruitment for the Claremont Colleges, where I was responsible for the recruitment and marketing strategy of the Keck Graduate Institute working with prospective science and engineering students. Right out of my graduate program at Harvard, I worked for Google's HR department and at Kaplan, developing a national curriculum in reading, math and writing for K-8th graders. I've co-authored a Kaplan textbook on writing and was responsible for training instructors on best practices in pedagogy. As someone with a wide range of experiences personally and professionally, I love helping students shape and mold their own stories to help them stand out in the crowd. In my free time, I love all things British royals, ballroom dancing, traveling internationally, and watching movies with complex plot lines.

In addition to my 20+ years of admissions consulting experience, I also have firsthand experience in the entertainment world as a represented screenwriter, and then as a literary manager. Having worked on writing assignments and rewrites for several studios and production companies, as well as multiple production roles as PA (office and set) and script supervisor, while living and networking in Hollywood for several years, I know how the industry works. Having helped dozens of applicants gain admission to top MFA (film) and producer's programs (like USC's Stark program), I know exactly what admissions committees are looking for. A successful application to any degree program requires finding the most compelling version of your personal story, developing and optimizing that story to fit your target audience, and executing it in a way that captures its full potential. Naturally, nowhere is the bar for storytelling higher than film schools.
