About

I'm a fourth-year MD/MS student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where I am also completing a Master’s in Clinical Investigation. I was also admitted to other top medical schools, including Duke, Penn, and Yale. Prior to medical school, I graduated from Brown University with a Sc.B. in neuroscience and spent two years conducting genomics research at the National Institutes of Health. At NYU, I have served as a medical school admissions interviewer. I have experience mentoring students through the college, graduate school, and medical school admissions processes. I specialize in helping students develop big picture admissions strategies, craft compelling narratives, ace interviews, and negotiate scholarships. Learning about my mentees stories and sharing in their gratification when they achieve their goals is why I coach.

Lucas has helped clients get into these schools:

I’m a fourth-year MD/MSCI student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Brown University in 2021 with a degree in neuroscience and spent the following two years conducting clinical and translational research at the National Institutes of Health. During that time, I also developed a strong passion for mentorship through my work with College Bound, a nonprofit that supports underserved high school students navigating the college admissions process. As a medical school applicant, I was fortunate to be admitted to several top-ten programs. I converted nine of eleven interviews into acceptances and successfully negotiated substantial scholarships from multiple schools, including NYU's full cost-of-attendance Silverstein Scholarship. I credit this success to strategic self-presentation, clear and persuasive communication, and a polished application. Now, as a current medical student and interviewer for the Grossman admissions committee, I’m excited to share the insights I’ve gained with aspiring physicians. If you're navigating the application process, I’d be happy to discuss how I can support your journey.
