Welcome to my profile! I am currently pursuing a JD/MBA from The Wharton School (UPenn) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. With my unique background in both law and business, I bring a comprehensive perspective to help aspiring law students navigate the admissions process. Although I am new to formal/paid coaching, I have consulted with dozens of candidates on the application process. Personally, I was accepted to a majority of the T-14 law schools (including a significant merit-based scholarship at UPenn) and currently hold a 3.9 GPA in the law school classroom. My experiences as a Summer Associate at Latham & Watkins and a Law Clerk at the United States Department of Justice have provided me with insights into the legal profession—I hope to leverage these insights and more to help you craft your story. I aim to provide honest, straightforward advice rooted in direct experience, ensuring you're prepared for the rigorous journey ahead in law education. My name is Trey Rogers and I'm excited to work with you on your law school application process. I graduated from Harvard University in 2020 with no intention to apply to law school, so after I decided three years ago that law school was going to be the next step for me, I had a lot of learning to do about the process. Because I arrived at my law school aspirations a little later, I had the time to dedicate almost two years to mastering the LSAT and scored a 175 in June, 2024. I have coached several students to success on the LSAT; many achieved an improvement of 10+ points. I also help students write their personal statement, identify potential recommenders, and assemble a coherent application. I'm looking forward to working with you and getting you into law school!

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and earned my degrees in French and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I went on to pursue my Juris Doctor (JD) at Duke University School of Law — an experience that deepened my love for the study of law. While I briefly worked in the legal field, I quickly realized that what truly inspired me wasn’t practicing law — it was helping others find their path through education. That realization led me to pivot into the field of international higher education, where I discovered my passion for mentoring students through the admissions process. For over 15 years, I’ve worked in university admissions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As a former admissions officer, I’ve reviewed hundreds of applications from students around the world. My experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Chicago Booth Executive MBA program, where I gained firsthand insight into what top-tier programs look for in standout candidates. I spent over a decade living in Hong Kong, where I worked with both local and international students on applications to law school, MBA, Master’s, and undergraduate programs. Now based back in Raleigh, I continue to support students worldwide as they pursue their academic and professional goals. I didn't take a straight path to law school, and that's exactly why I can help you figure out yours. I seriously considered applying straight out of undergrad, then chose to build my career first at Goldman Sachs, and then still decided I wanted to deepen that experience by diving into renewable energy industry in Nairobi, Kenya before I finally felt ready to commit to a JD. I've thought through every version of this decision, at every stage, and I know how much the timing, framing, and self-knowledge behind your application actually matters. Along the way, I've coached my fellow Goldman Sachs analysts through our informal Law School Admissions Preparation program and guided friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni through the graduate school process. While recruiting for Big Law this year, I earned one of the strongest interview scores in my law firm's recruitment cycle and secured a leadership fellowship worth $50,000. My approach starts with understanding your goals and background, so that whether you need career strategy, application advice, or interview prep, we're building on what's already strong about your story.

I'm a Stanford Law School grad working in business operations at an edtech startup. I applied to law school while I was an undergrad studying electrical engineering and was fortunate enough to be admitted to a number of top law schools, including Stanford, Yale, Harvard, and Chicago (where I was offered the Rubenstein scholarship). I'd love to help you with your law school application process, from building an application strategy all the way through the happy (and stressful!) decision of where to attend. If you're coming from a technical background, or you're interested in pursuing a joint degree program, my experience will be especially useful — but I work with all kinds of applicants.

I’m a first-year law student who has recently navigated the law school admissions process and successfully helped friends do the same. I know firsthand how overwhelming the LSAT and application process can be and how difficult it is to raise your score while managing anxiety and pressure. Through targeted strategies and mindset shifts, I was able to raise my LSAT score to a near-perfect range, and I now help others do the same. When I first thought of going to law school, I thought it was a terrible idea. Student loans, bad job outcomes, and attorneys’ frequent malaise. But then I did the research. I learned how to crack the code of law school admissions, and understood how to achieve a legal career without breaking the bank. I'll never forget the day I set foot on Harvard Law School's campus. I hadn't gone to a brand-name undergrad. It seemed like everyone else at the admitted students day knew each other; I didn't know anyone. But it didn't matter. You don’t need connections to get into law school; you need strategy. I am a federal clerk and a graduate magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. I also hold a BA from Bard College, and am a PhD student in the Harvard sociology department. I know first-hand how stressful the JD application process is, and how to successfully navigate it. I know what admissions committees look for. And I know how to present your credentials—and build them—the way successful applicants do. As a coach, my approach is bottom-up. If you’re at the beginning of your application process, let's start by assessing your goals, generating a list of programs from there, and then thinking strategically about how to maximize your chances of admission at each program you apply to. I know what it takes to build a competitive law school application because I've lived the full arc of it: from choosing the right extracurriculars as an undergrad to successfully navigating two separate law school admissions cycles, first as an initial applicant and then as a transfer student. I studied political science at BYU, where I balanced a packed extracurricular schedule that ranged from cheerleading and Political Review to serving as an officer for Women in Politics, all while completing a global marketing study abroad and several legal and political internships. That experience taught me firsthand how to build a narrative that ties together leadership, service, and academic interests into something admissions committees actually remember. I started law school at BYU, then transferred to Texas Tech Law to support my husband's medical training, and I'm about to begin there this fall.
