I am currently a 3L student at University of Pennsylvania Law School. I was accepted off the waitlist in May 2023; before I committed to Penn, I was planning on attending UCLA Law. At Penn, I was awarded the Leader of the Year Award for my pro bono work my 2L year, received my Wharton Certificate in Management, and was a Wharton McNulty Nonprofit Board Fellow with Jounce Partners. I am the Development Editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law and led both the Pardon Project and Democracy Law Project (the two largest pro bono projects at Penn). Before law school, I worked for three years -- I was on the 2020 Biden Campaign and then worked in the Administration at the U.S. Department of Health of Human Services in the Secretary's Office. I have mentored four people through the law school waitlist process, drawing on my own experience of being initially waitlisted at Penn. When I applied to law school, I was working long hours and was not a natural test taker, so I focused on leveraging my professional experience and presenting my story in the strongest possible way. That approach earned me admission to UCLA Law (a T14 school) through my personal statement and essays, and later, I was accepted off the waitlists at both Georgetown Law and Penn Law before starting 1L. Since then, I have coached four applicants through the same process, helping them strategically navigate their waitlists. Each of them ultimately secured admission to their top-choice school, along with several others. I hope to continue using my experience to help future applicants maximize their chances of success.

There's so much information on what a law school applicant should do, it can feel overwhelming. My goal has always been to provide superior information targeted to each student's unique circumstances. No questions are off limits, I make the path simple, comfortable and understanding. We can tackle anything or everything – from the minutiae of getting your recs/transcripts to LSAC to crafting your personal statements. Perhaps the best definition I’ve heard of a law school personal statement is that it’s a chance to tell your story. My goal is to capture a side of you that no one can deny is uniquely you. Law school trains you to be an attorney. But every student, every lawyer, is first and foremost a person – with a story. Your story informs your judgment. As an attorney, you hold tremendous power in society. Showing an admissions committee who you are through your story demonstrates how you’ll use that power responsibly. Our purpose is to tell your story. I believe every person has greatness inside of them and our goal is to show your greatness through your story.

I earned my JD from Howard University School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of my class while serving on law review. After law school, I joined Paul, Weiss and later Kirkland & Ellis, advising leading private-equity sponsors on multi-billion-dollar M&A transactions, carve-outs, and complex fund formations. This combination of elite legal training and high-stakes deal work gives me a deep understanding of what top law schools and firms look for in applicants and future attorneys. Beyond credentials, I bring a coach’s mindset. I'm a recent Yale Law School graduate with extensive writing and editing experience. I've written briefs in federal appeals, served as an editor for the Yale Law Journal, and authored scholarship that is forthcoming in the Yale Law Journal and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Before that, I studied political science at Williams College, where I graduated summa cum laude as one of the top four students in my class. I applied to law school straight through from college, and I was admitted to Yale, Stanford, and Harvard. I'm now completing a one-year fellowship in appellate defense before I begin two federal clerkships. Given my background, I'm particularly interested in helping those interested in public-interest law. I was admitted to Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, and Stanford Law School, among others. I also received full-tuition scholarship offers from the University of Chicago Law School and Columbia Law School. I have demonstrated experience with crafting law school application materials and with LSAT preparation (I scored in the 99th percentile, and I have helped others do the same). Currently, I'm studying politics at the University of Oxford, where I am a Barry Scholar. The Barry Scholarship is awarded to around a dozen students in the United States each year, and it fully funds the pursuit of any graduate program at Oxford. I was admitted to three programs at Oxford, each of which was competitive. I'm experienced with writing, editing, and interview preparation. I specialize in applications to law schools, master's programs, and prestigious scholarships.

I am currently an Associate Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University, where I teach environmental law and policy. I attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School and, prior to pursuing a PhD, I worked at several prestigious international, national, and boutique law firms. I have counseled numerous students interested in attending law school, helping them decide whether and where to apply, and what strategies to use to stand out as applicants.
