I seriously considered applying straight out of undergrad, then chose to build my career first at Goldman Sachs, and then still decided I wanted to deepen that experience by diving into renewable energy industry in Nairobi, Kenya before I finally felt ready to commit to a JD. I've thought through every version of this decision, at every stage, and I know how much the timing, framing, and self-knowledge behind your application actually matters. Along the way, I've coached my fellow Goldman Sachs analysts through our informal Law School Admissions Preparation program and guided friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni through the graduate school process. While recruiting for Big Law this year, I earned one of the strongest interview scores in my law firm's recruitment cycle and secured a leadership fellowship worth $50,000. There's so much information on what a law school applicant should do, it can feel overwhelming. My goal has always been to provide superior information targeted to each student's unique circumstances. No questions are off limits, I make the path simple, comfortable and understanding. We can tackle anything or everything – from the minutiae of getting your recs/transcripts to LSAC to crafting your personal statements. Perhaps the best definition I’ve heard of a law school personal statement is that it’s a chance to tell your story. My goal is to capture a side of you that no one can deny is uniquely you. Law school trains you to be an attorney. But every student, every lawyer, is first and foremost a person – with a story. Your story informs your judgment. As an attorney, you hold tremendous power in society. Showing an admissions committee who you are through your story demonstrates how you’ll use that power responsibly. Our purpose is to tell your story. I believe every person has greatness inside of them and our goal is to show your greatness through your story.

When I first thought of going to law school, I thought it was a terrible idea. Student loans, bad job outcomes, and attorneys’ frequent malaise. But then I did the research. I learned how to crack the code of law school admissions, and understood how to achieve a legal career without breaking the bank. I'll never forget the day I set foot on Harvard Law School's campus. I hadn't gone to a brand-name undergrad. It seemed like everyone else at the admitted students day knew each other; I didn't know anyone. But it didn't matter. You don’t need connections to get into law school; you need strategy. I am a federal clerk and a graduate magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. I also hold a BA from Bard College, and am a PhD student in the Harvard sociology department. I know first-hand how stressful the JD application process is, and how to successfully navigate it. I know what admissions committees look for. And I know how to present your credentials—and build them—the way successful applicants do. As a coach, my approach is bottom-up. If you’re at the beginning of your application process, let's start by assessing your goals, generating a list of programs from there, and then thinking strategically about how to maximize your chances of admission at each program you apply to. If you’re further along, let’s look at your materials and work them into top shape. If you have interviews scheduled, we’ll practice them so you can start off on the right foot with schools you’re interested in. I am a JD / MBA student at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. I have 5 years of professional experience in finance.

I'm a recent Yale Law School graduate with extensive writing and editing experience. I've written briefs in federal appeals, served as an editor for the Yale Law Journal, and authored scholarship that is forthcoming in the Yale Law Journal and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Before that, I studied political science at Williams College, where I graduated summa cum laude as one of the top four students in my class. I applied to law school straight through from college, and I was admitted to Yale, Stanford, and Harvard. I'm now completing a one-year fellowship in appellate defense before I begin two federal clerkships. Given my background, I'm particularly interested in helping those interested in public-interest law.
