My name is Alexia Godron, and I'm a J.D. candidate at Columbia Law School. I originally applied to law school as a GPA/LSAT splitter, and transferred from Boston University School of Law after my first year. I've always been very passionate about helping people reach their full potential, particularly when it comes to education! I also have significant experience in tutoring and coaching - I've worked with high school students in college admissions coaching for three years, volunteer as an alumni interviewer for Yale University college admissions, and tutored French and Greek for over 4 years (including at the Yale Center for Language Study). I am passionate about helping prospective law students see their strengths and achieve their admissions goals. As a first-generation college graduate with 9 years of law school admissions experience and over 10,000 reviewed applications, I understand the challenges students face throughout the application process. In 2010, I received a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University, Northridge. In 2013, I received a law degree from New York Law School. After law school, I worked as a staff attorney for the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation, where I represented survivors of intimate partner violence before the New York City Family Court and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. In 2016, I joined LMU Loyola Law School as an Assistant Director of Admissions. In 2023, I joined the UCLA School of Law as the Associate Director of Admissions & Diversity Initiatives. Now, I am a flight attendant for a major US Airline and still review law school applications. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling internationally, dinner parties with friends, and salsa dancing.

Welcome to my profile. I hold a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and bring extensive experience in law school admissions consulting. I am the Founder and Principal Consultant of CW Admissions, drawing on experience guiding more than 100 applicants through the law school admissions process across national admissions consulting organizations and nonprofit initiatives, as well as experience as an application reader at a top-ten law school. My work focuses on application strategy, narrative development, and overall positioning. I help applicants identify their strongest themes, evaluate whether their materials are working at the admissions level, and understand how their applications function as a whole. Beyond initial submissions, I advise clients on post-submission strategy, including waitlist communications, letters of continued interest, and scholarship negotiation. My approach is highly individualized and coach-driven, with an emphasis on judgment, clarity, and thoughtful decision-making in a competitive admissions landscape.

My academic journey also includes a Master of Science from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University. With experience in prestigious roles such as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan and an intern at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, I understand the diverse pathways that can lead to a successful legal or business career. As a current JD/MBA candidate at the University of Michigan, I bring firsthand experience navigating competitive admissions, dual-degree programs, and BigLaw recruiting. I’ve coached students toward law school, BigLaw, and career goals, and I particularly enjoy helping applicants identify the strongest thread across their experiences and turn it into a clear, compelling application. My own background spans a wide range of academic and professional environments, including Wellesley, Oxford, MIT, Michigan Law, and Ross. I studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford and international development at MIT, and have worked internationally in Botswana, Colombia, China, India, and South Korea. I’ve also served as an Albright Fellow and presented policy briefs to Secretary Madeleine Albright, spoken at the Oxford Union, worked as a Young Ambassador with the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center, and held summer associate roles at Latham & Watkins and Jones Day. Coming from an immigrant family has also shaped how I think about education, opportunity, and navigating unfamiliar institutions. Because I’ve moved across different schools, disciplines, countries, and career paths, I can offer especially useful guidance to applicants with unconventional backgrounds, international interests, dual-degree ambitions, or BigLaw goals.

In spite of application weaknesses in GPA and test scores, my clients have been accepted to Harvard, Stanford, and other top programs.

I am a rising 3L at Duke University School of Law and a Duke undergraduate alum. I scored a 175 on the LSAT and received scholarship offers from 10 law schools, including a full-tuition scholarship to Cornell Law School. I also navigated 30+ competitive undergraduate applications, developing tailored essays for each school and building a strategic extracurricular and internship profile to strengthen my candidacy. Throughout both processes, I became deeply invested in understanding what actually drives admissions and scholarship outcomes—when to apply, how to present a strong application, and how to make strategic decisions that maximize results. I now use that experience to guide students through both college and law school admissions in a thoughtful and effective way.
