Additionally, advanced features and useful troubleshooting settings will also be introduced. After the live event, participants should feel more comfortable navigating Excel with little or no use of the mouse. This event is intended primarily for Windows users given the differences in keyboard shortcuts between different operating systems, but methods for Mac users to convert Windows shortcuts to Mac shortcuts will be discussed, so Mac users may still find the event useful.

AI for Investment Banking: Practical Workflows to Build Better Models, Presentations, and Research Faster [8/27/2026] (Recording)

AI for Investment Banking: Practical Workflows to Build Better Models, Presentations, and Research Faster [8/27/2026] (Recording)

In this session, you will learn how to integrate AI tools into the core workflows that define IB work: building and stress-testing financial models faster, drafting and refining pitch deck narratives, and synthesizing industry research without sacrificing analytical depth. The goal is hands-on fluency, not a surface-level overview of what AI can theoretically do. Attending live means you can bring your actual workflow, a model you are building or a presentation you are stuck on, and get a direct answer grounded in your specific situation, not a generic one. The coach works inside these workflows regularly and will share the patterns that separate analysts who use AI effectively from those who use it as a shortcut that shows.

How to Capitalize on a Coffee Chat [9/3/2026] (Recording)

How to Capitalize on a Coffee Chat [9/3/2026] (Recording)

Most people send a thank you note and never speak to that person again. The note was never the point. First rounds go to candidates someone inside is pushing, and one conversation almost never does that on its own. Most of the people I know who ended up at JP Morgan ran more than twenty of these. So the work is in what happens after. Write down what stuck the moment you hang up, because it fades faster than you think and the thank you note needs one specific detail in it. Then the ask, which is the last two minutes of the call and the entire reason the next two chats exist. Then the check in, which most people skip, and which is why they are not on anyone's radar in January. The other thing you are collecting is your own answers. The line you use in a February interview is usually something a banker volunteered in September, and you only have it if you wrote it down. What we'll cover: - What to write down the moment the call ends, and why the note needs one specific detail - The thank you email inside twenty four hours, and what actually earns a reply - Ending on the ask, and how to get the introduction made over email instead of just a name - The referral email, and why it is the easiest one you will ever send - Checking in later with something worth sending, and how to still be on a radar in January - How many chats per firm is normal, and why boutiques are different Want to get more out of the chats you are already having? Book a free 15-minute intro and we will talk through your networking situation. Part 6 of Coffee Chat Ready, a six part run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each one stands alone, so jump in anywhere. I'm the founder of OFFERGOBLIN and ex-Centerview tech.

Master Telling Your Story: Improve Your Networking and Interviews [9/14/2026] (Recording)

Master Telling Your Story: Improve Your Networking and Interviews [9/14/2026] (Recording)

After this session, you'll know how to shape your personal narrative so it holds up in both networking conversations and formal interviews for investment banking roles. We'll cover how to frame your "why banking" story with specificity, how to connect your background to the skills bankers actually look for, and how to adjust your delivery depending on whether you're in a coffee chat or a final-round interview. Attending live means you can bring your actual story and get real-time feedback on what's landing and what's getting in your way, context a recording simply cannot replicate. The coach works with banking candidates regularly and will share the patterns that separate the narratives that resonate from the ones that stall, which is worth more than any prepared script.

The Other 50%: The Mindset That Wins IB Interviews [9/15/2026] (Recording)

The Other 50%: The Mindset That Wins IB Interviews [9/15/2026] (Recording)

This livestream focuses on the often-overlooked mental side of investment banking recruiting. Candidates spend significant time preparing technicals, deals, and behavioral questions, but how you manage pressure, confidence, rejection, and the importance you place on any single opportunity can have just as much impact on how you perform. We’ll cover practical frameworks for approaching recruiting with the right mindset, including how to want an opportunity without feeling like you need it, create optionality across recruiting processes, build confidence in what you uniquely bring to the table, reframe interview anxiety as useful energy, and develop a simple pre-interview routine to put yourself in the right state. We’ll also discuss how to separate what you can control from what you can’t, learn from rejection without letting it affect your confidence, and maintain perspective throughout a recruiting process that can often feel highly personal. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a more resilient approach to recruiting, practical techniques you can use before and during interviews, and a framework for performing with greater confidence regardless of the outcome.

Finance Recruiting in the Age of AI [8/3/2026] (Recording)

Investment banking and private equity are changing in the age of AI adoption. Landing the job is changing, too. How should you present your skills, experience, and capabilities to be competitive in such an ever-evolving landscape? We tackle that question and more in this livestream. We'll walk through what matters now for technicals and how to modify your behavioral answers to be competitive in interviews. I have experience in investment banking, private equity, an AI startup, and Harvard Business School. I also worked heavily on our junior recruiting efforts in investment banking and private equity.

IB Technicals 1: Accounting and the Three Statements [9/10/2026] (Recording)

IB Technicals 1: Accounting and the Three Statements [9/10/2026] (Recording)

Accounting is where investment banking technicals start, and it is the block everything else is built on. If you cannot trace a line item through the three statements, valuation stays abstract, M&A math floats free of its meaning, and LBO mechanics never click. So this session is the foundation: what each statement does, how they connect, and how to walk a change through all three out loud without losing the thread. This series is the foundational run. Six sessions that build the fundamental intuition, in the order the concepts should be learned. Each night covers how the concept works and, more importantly, how to actually answer the questions on it: the real questions banks ask, on screen, answered the way I would in the room, with the stories and details behind them. What we'll cover: - What an investment bank actually does, and the money basics the statements assume: stocks, bonds, and who gets paid first in a bankruptcy - What each statement is for, and the three lines that connect them - The order to walk them in, and why opening on the balance sheet falls apart - The pre-tax income shortcut, and why you say those words out loud instead of EBT - Why net income is not cash - A customer pays $100 upfront for a product you deliver next year. Walk me through the three statements. Want to find out where your technicals actually stand? I run a 90-minute mock interview, a full simulation and then rapid-fire technicals on whatever broke. Book a free 15-minute intro to see if it is a good fit. Part 1 of IB Technicals, a six part run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each one stands alone, so jump in anywhere. I'm the founder of OFFERGOBLIN and ex-Centerview tech.
