Description

Heart set on Wharton? Then you need to figure out how to stand out in the context of their rather dry, straightforward application! I have coached numerous Wharton admits over the past decade and have developed materials specifically to help applicants nail Wharton's essay prompts. My comprehensive Wharton package is designed to guide you through several key aspects of your application, ensuring that it stands out amongst the thousands that Wharton receives every year. Here’s what it includes: **Application Strategy & Planning**: We'll kick off with a deep dive into your background, career goals, and personal story. Together, we'll develop a strategic roadmap tailored to highlight your strengths, address any weaknesses, and make sure every part of the application shines. **Resume**: I'll help you craft a polished, impactful resume that showcases your achievements and potential. **Recommendations**: We'll strategize on selecting and guiding your recommenders to ensure their letters reinforce your narrative. **Essay Development & Editing**: As mentioned earlier, I have developed my own materials to tackle Wharton's essays prompts and working on them together will make drafting the essays 10x's easier (with a much stronger output!) We'll also tackle an Optional Essay if it is warranted. **Online Application Content**: I'll provide guidance on the Employment Info, Activities, and short-answer sections of the application form so you can use them to further strengthen your application rather than treating them as throwaway. Please note that this package does NOT include a mock team based discussion (TBD), and I have reflected this in the discounted price compared to my other school specific packages. I will share information on the significance, format, and recommended approach for the TBD, but I highly recommend that applicants do a mock TBD with another coach who routinely runs them. I am happy to make recommendations when the time comes! Throughout our collaboration, I’m committed to providing honest, constructive feedback and being a supportive partner in your application journey. My goal is to help you present a cohesive, compelling application that reflects who you are and why you belong at Wharton.

Coaching delivered via live sessions and .

Our engagement will start with you completing a comprehensive questionnaire that will serve as the basis for a 2 hour kickoff call where i get to know your personal and professional experiences and MBA/career goals. From then on, I tailor the process according to the candidate's preferences - typically something like weekly or ad hoc calls or video chats to discuss issues and lots of asynchronous work on written documents. I am also available via text within reason. I view coaching engagements as a partnership rather than a transaction, and I love getting to know the people I work with on a deep and meaningful level. Not only does this put us in the best place to achieve our desired results, but it makes for enjoyable and potentially fruitful long-term relationships on both ends.

Haas Admissions VP, 4x Top Leland Coach, 200+ Top 25 Admits

I'm a Princeton undergrad and UC Berkeley Haas MBA with 10 years of professional experience coaching over 200 applicants to top programs. As someone who initially struggled with the MBA admissions process and with navigating my early career path, I am passionate about helping others have a smoother and more purpose-driven experience. While my background is in investments, product, and marketing, I love working with applicants from all industries and functions (variety is the spice of life!) I am also highly plugged into the world of entrepreneurship through my work in venture investing focused on UC Berkeley affiliated startups. MBA ADMISSIONS EXPERIENCE - Leland Top MBA Coach in 2026, 2025, and 2021. Leland Top 50 Coach (all categories) in 2024. - Began coaching professionally in 2017 with Stacy Blackman Consulting, where I was trained and mentored by former M7 AdCom members - Coached 200+ clients who have been admitted to Wharton, Kellogg, Sloan, Columbia, Stanford, Harvard, Haas, Booth, Ross, Tuck, Fuqua, Stern, LBS, Oxford, and many more; clients have received >$3M in scholarships - First-hand experience as the student VP of Admissions at Haas (2014-2015) and also served as VP of New Student Orientation (2013-2014) - Extensive experience helping clients with low GPAs, below median test scores, unemployment, etc. (and can personally empathize with some of these challenges) - Specialized knowledge of top part-time programs, including Haas, Booth, Kellogg, and Anderson COACHING COMPETENCE - Decades of experience giving others constructive feedback on their writing and speaking in corporate, editorial, and admissions coaching settings - Find personal fulfillment in mentoring: mentored financially disadvantaged youth in San Francisco on college applications and currently mentor small groups of college women in Utah on career development, higher education, and leadership - Brutally honest with my clients about their chances rather than saying "of course I can get you into XYZ school" (but will never discourage someone from applying to a reach program if I think there’s a chance!) - Known for collegial, astute, and supportive coaching style, as exemplified by one former client stating: “Emily is so much more than an MBA Admissions Consultant. She's a mentor, friend, and on many occasions...a therapist.” MARKETING & WRITING EXPERTISE - Held a variety of product marketing, product management, and investor relations roles over my 19 year corporate career, which honed my positioning and messaging skills (if I can make a boring old mutual fund compelling, think of what I can do for you!) - More creative writing pursuits include penning a #1 Amazon Bestselling book for first time moms in 2020 and serving as a sports writer for The Daily Princetonian in college
