Diego Flores-Alvarez

I coached myself through the entire MBA admissions process. I applied to six programs, HBS, IESE, Georgetown, Duke, Kellogg and Georgia Tech, and was admitted to all six, including the Consortium Fellowship at Georgetown, before choosing my lifelong dream, HBS. After business school, I spent a year and a half in consulting at Bain before returning to The Home Depot, where I now work on the strategy team. Having built six applications myself while working full time, I know firsthand what schools are actually looking for, and how hard this process is to do alongside a demanding job. My time in seminary taught me to see people as whole individuals, not numbers in a pipeline, and that shapes how I coach today. I take on a small number of candidates at a time, so the attention you get is genuinely 1:1. I'm bilingual and bicultural, and I can work with you in Spanish and help translate your story into language a US admissions committee can connect with. My own non-traditional path gives me a real understanding of applicants whose story doesn't follow a standard track.
