About Rachel
Since 2017, I've worked with high school students on getting accepted to Harvard, Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley, Amherst, USC, and other top schools. As a former hiring manager within Big Tech and startups alike, I also love to coach students on job readiness, networking, and more. As a full-time coach, I meet regularly with current admissions officers at top universities to give you the most up-to-date information on each school's academic offerings, test policies, and campus life, as well as trends within college admissions. So far in 2025, I have visited 35+ colleges and universities in California and the Northeast. Outside of my coaching practice, I am heavily involved with nonprofits like ScholarMatch and Minds Matter to support students of less means in applying to colleges and financial aid. Growing up in a Chinese buffet restaurant in Massachusetts, it was clear to me from an early age that if I wanted an easier life (outside of buffet restaurants), I would need to get myself into college. I know how transformative the right help at the right time can be. Coaching others brings me a lot of joy. Please reach out if you would like to work together!
Why do I coach?
I coach because I love it! It's my mission not just to let students shine in their applications, but to make sure they can afford college and succeed once they are there. Families often don't know what opportunities may be relevant to their students, and my job is to let you know of opportunities you wouldn't have thought to Google on your own.

I earned an MBA with a full-tuition scholarship. At Anderson, I interviewed 15 MBA applicants as an Admissions Interviewer. I also served as an Interview Prep Team leader for 7 first-years, and my students secured internships at Microsoft, Adobe, Intuit, and Amazon. In terms of coursework, I specialized in Tech Management and Marketing Analytics, and my capstone project was to identify the target customer for a luxury jewelry brand that was venturing into the lab-grown diamond space.
