As the former Director of the Pre-Law Program at Montclair State University, I established initiatives that supported over 600 pre-law students, including first-generation and underrepresented students, in their journey to law school. About Isabelle
I have always been driven to serve my community and advocate for justice, my work helping others achieve their goal of attending law school complements my personal values and professional experience. Given the physical, emotional and financial investment involved with pursuing a J.D., I aim to help applicants make decisions that align with their preferences and also encourage them to take risks that could yield tremendous rewards.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I can relate to applicants who are passionate about pursuing their dreams and want to help them make informed decisions about their law school application strategy. My experience coaching law school applicants from different backgrounds and at different points in their career, has allowed me to tailor my guidance based on their needs and geographic preferences. From the personal statement to the LSAT, I enjoy helping candidates embrace their strengths and weaknesses in order build their confidence and embolden their self-advocacy throughout the admissions process.

• Create and implement strategy to recruit and retain attorneys to serve as public defenders across New York State and train member offices on how to connect with candidates. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver virtual training sessions on issues related to law student recruitment, hosting legal interns, partnership opportunities, and challenges retaining current talent. • Create and distribute statewide surveys to collect data from public defense offices about their recruitment and retention needs and challenges. Collect and analyze surveys on salaries offered for new and existing attorneys to support member advocacy in each county.

Director, Pre-Law Program
Montclair State University
October 2021 - September 2024
• Establish a stand-alone pre-law program for students and alumni to receive education, advising, and skill development for their success in law school and beyond. • Collaborate with Advisory Board members on pre-law program strategy and initiatives including a 3+3 articulation program with law schools, course proposals, and marketing initiatives. • Manage program budget and initiatives such as the Law & Public Policy Essay Contest, NJ Law School Admissions Day, pre-law leadership conference (for first-generation students and students from underrepresented backgrounds), and other pre-law activities. • Obtain grants from LSAC’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for 20-25 students to attend the LSAC Law School Forum on New York, NY (2021 and 2022). • Implement communication and event campaign in Navigate (MSU’s student database) to support 600+ pre-law students through individual pre-law advising appointments (virtual and in-person) and report on the effectiveness of each appointment and campaign initiative. • Support and advise Pre-Law Society members on activities and events including mock trial competition, court case spotlight series, and career exploration. • Update school website and event calendar with information about the pre-law program, resources for law school, internship opportunities, and events. • Utilize LSAC’s pre-law data and reports to track student and alumni law school admission activity and the matriculation of graduates into law school. Present data and recommendations to deans of the college and advisory board annually. • Collaborate with legal education partners such as the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and law schools to offer programs that help students from underrepresented backgrounds prepare for success in law school.
