Elyse’s Startups Qualifications

Coaches professionally

Experience level: Director

Building a successful startup isn't just about having a great idea—it's about having the clarity, resilience, and authentic voice needed to navigate the inevitable challenges of entrepreneurship. My journey from corporate accounting to author and coach taught me that the most sustainable businesses are built by founders who understand their "why" and aren't afraid to lead with their authentic selves. Having helped multiple small businesses launch successful endeavors, I've seen how startups thrive when founders combine strategic thinking with deep self-awareness and the courage to advocate for their vision. I specialize in guiding startup founders through both the practical and personal challenges of building a business. Whether you're struggling to articulate your value proposition, finding your voice as a leader, or navigating the emotional rollercoaster of entrepreneurship, I help you build not just a successful business, but one that aligns with your values and leverages your unique strengths. My approach recognizes that startup success requires both analytical skills and emotional intelligence—and that your personal growth directly impacts your business growth.

About Elyse

Author | Empowerment Coach | Resilience Advocate | Find Your Voice. Live Your Purpose. After 25 years in accounting, a coach asked me three life-changing questions: Is this what you want to do for the remainder of your career? Does this make you happy? Does your work match your purpose? The answer was a resounding no. That moment of clarity didn't just change my path—it ignited my mission to help others find their own moment of awakening.

Why do I coach?

I exist to help neurodivergent professionals and career-seekers find their voice, discover their true purpose, and build careers that honor who they really are—not who they were told to be. For 25 years, I built a successful accounting career that looked perfect on paper but felt empty in my soul. I was living the life others expected of me, not the life I was meant for. When my coach helped me articulate my true purpose, everything shifted. I realized I had been carrying the weight of childhood labels and trauma, believing I was only worthy of the "safe" career path, not the meaningful one I craved. That's when I knew my real calling: to be the voice for others who have been silenced by labels, trauma, or the belief that they must shrink themselves to fit into predetermined boxes. My 30 years of corporate experience—from staff to executive levels—combined with my journey as a neurodivergent woman, gives me unique insight into the barriers that keep talented people stuck in careers that drain their spirit. There's nothing more thrilling to me than witnessing someone's moment of clarity—when they finally articulate their why, discover their authentic path, or find the courage to advocate for themselves. I've seen brilliant neurodivergent professionals struggle to perform in environments that weren't designed for their strengths. I've watched talented people stay miserable in careers because they believed they weren't worthy of something better. My mission is to help people rewrite the story they've been told about their limitations and step into their true power. Because the world needs what you uniquely offer—not a diminished version of yourself, but the full, authentic, unapologetic you. In my memoir "Beyond the T-Shirt," I wrote a letter to my younger self, wishing someone had told me I was worthy of love and the career I wanted—not just the one I was told to have. Now, through coaching, I get to be that voice for others. I help people see that their trauma, their neurodivergence, their "different" way of being in the world isn't something to overcome—it's their superpower waiting to be unleashed.
