Avery's Medical School Qualifications

10+ people coached for Medical School

Avery has helped clients get into these schools:

I am a qualified medical school coach because I had great success in my medical school application cycle, interviewing with 5 top-30 medical schools and selecting a top-5 medical school to attend. I applied and was accepted to medical school as an undergraduate student and matriculated straight from undergrad to medical school at 21 years old. This feat required me to master the necessary study strategies and time management, networking, standardized test-taking, and writing skills to produce an impressive application. One of my mentees was accepted into a top 5 medical school this cycle, and two others are preparing to apply in the next cycle.

About Avery

I am a second-year medical student at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) interested in sharing my knowledge about the medical school application process to help premed students become strong applicants. I graduated summa cum laude from UNC Chapel Hill and went straight through from undergrad to medical school. As someone who is newly on the other side of the medical school application process, I offer an up-to-date perspective on MCAT prep techniques and resources, personal statement writing pearls and pitfalls, and how to demonstrate the qualities of a strong medical school applicant through activities and experiences.

Why do I coach?

Mentorship is essential for a successful medical school application cycle. There is a "hidden curriculum" when it comes to presenting yourself as an impressive candidate to medical schools. My mentor was crucial in helping me build and maintain my network of professors, researchers, and physicians, find enriching opportunities to demonstrate my passion for medicine, and prepare for deadlines throughout the application process. I would love to pay it forward and be a resource for other aspiring doctors.
