As a procurement consultant at GEP, I underwent a 10-week summer program where I was staffed on a project that constructed spend analysis for the largest generic drug manufacturer in the world. We identified areas of consolidation and outsourcing for over 12,000 suppliers in 183 L3 categories in a $13 billion three-tiered categorization supply chain. Also, given an upcoming $40 billion acquisition, I generated models, varying on R&D levels of drugs, to assess potential profits of such an acquisition. I was also responsible for preparing financial health summaries for over 300 suppliers in emerging markets to cut costs and maximize synergies.
