About

I came to consulting the long way: a biology PhD at NYU, two biotech startups that raised millions, then an MBA at NYU Stern, a Summer Associate role at McKinsey, and now a full-time offer to return next year. I learned case and fit interviews from scratch, recently, so I know where career changers get stuck. Who I work with: PhDs, postdocs and industry scientists moving into consulting or strategy MBA candidates recruiting for consulting Experienced professionals and founders switching careers How I coach: Answer first: in fit stories and cases, lead with the point, then the support. Hypothesis driven: run cases from a hypothesis you test and revise, not a memorized framework. Your real story: nothing invented, nothing from any firm's internal materials. Written notes after every session, so you know what to practice next. Not sure where to start? Book a free 15-minute intro call.

Chris’s Career Coaching Qualifications

Experience level: Analyst

Qualifications: I trained as a biologist (PhD, NYU), then co-founded two biotech startups that raised millions. Pitching investors and partners taught me how research looks from the business side: the problem it solves, the evidence behind it and what it's worth. I then made the jump myself, through an MBA at NYU Stern and a Summer Associate role at McKinsey. I help PhDs, postdocs and industry scientists make the same move into strategy, business development, product, venture or consulting: choosing the right target role, translating research into business results on a resume, and telling your story answer first in interviews.

Why do I coach?

When I left the lab, I had a PhD, startup experience and no idea how consulting recruiting worked. My resume needed extensive reworking, and case interviews felt foreign yet strangely familiar: the same hypothesis testing I'd been doing in science, just in a new language. It took me far too long to see that my experience already counted; it just needed translating. That's why I coach. Most career changers don't need a new story. They need help telling the one they already have, answer first, and enough practice that it holds up under pressure. I went through recruiting recently enough to remember exactly where it gets hard, and I'd rather you didn't have to figure it out alone.
