About
Hi - I’m Akshi. I help people make big professional moves with more clarity and less second-guessing. For more than 20 years I’ve worked where strategy meets execution. I spent seven years at Boston Consulting Group advising C-suite leaders across financial services, healthcare, and tech. I’ve held leadership roles at BlackRock and Condé Nast, and I’ve been COO and Head of Operations at PE and venture-backed companies, including one that grew from 300 to 3,000 people. I’ve also founded a business, co-founded and invested from a venture fund, and advised founders through Dartmouth, Future Founders, and Plug and Play. Outside of work, I’m an involved (human and pet) parent and a lifelong runner and swimmer. Both have taught me that real progress comes from consistency, good coaching, and showing up even on the hard days. I work with people on: Executive and leadership growth: stepping into a bigger role, leading teams, and managing up to a CEO or board Career moves: breaking into or out of consulting, startups, or venture capital, and getting hired at the senior level Business operations and strategy: building the systems, plans, and metrics that let a company scale Life and career design: figuring out what you actually want next, and building a plan you can live with What working with me is like I’m direct, practical, and on your side. I’ll ask the questions that get to the heart of things, tell you honestly what I see, and help you turn it into concrete next steps. We might rehearse an interview, pressure-test a business plan, or sort out a hard decision. Either way, you’ll leave each session with more clarity than you came in with and a clear plan of action.
Why do I coach?
As a first-generation immigrant, I learned early that no one hands you a map. You figure out the unwritten rules, find people willing to show you the way, and build your path one step at a time. Since then, I’ve worked in seven countries and moved between consulting, finance, media, tech, venture capital, and the nonprofit world. I’ve reinvented myself more than once, including rebuilding my career around being the parent I want to be. Along the way, I learned that most people aren’t stuck for lack of talent. They’re stuck because they’re too close to their own situation to see their options clearly. Every athlete knows this: even the best need a coach to see what they can’t. The work I’ve always loved most is being that person for someone else. That meant mentoring a new team member, helping a founder through a hard call, or helping a friend land a job she didn’t think she could get. Coaching lets me do that full-time. I bring a consultant’s structure, an operator’s practicality, an athlete’s discipline, and the empathy of someone who has navigated plenty of transitions herself. My goal is simple: help you see your situation clearly, decide what you want, and go get it.
