I encountered Daniel as a nervous post-grad who has no idea what to do with their degree nor how to break into the tech industry. I initially met with Daniel to have a chat about a role as a business analyst, the chat was eye opening in the sense that it was not someone just trying to put me into a role, Daniel helped me really probe about what mattered most to me and also think about how a job can help and support my growth - not your typical ‘what can you do for a job’. I realised I had been thinking of a prospective career as a ‘tickbox’ with a narrow mind. After an organic discussion I felt like Daniel really elicited the best skills I had and was keen to see how I wanted them to align with my moral compass. I quickly changed from wanting to be a Business Analyst (which seemed like the best route with a degree in Linguistics) to a User Researcher. Without Daniels help I would not have had faith in myself to try and break into this role, I would not have known how to sell my skills and showcase to employers just how unique yet in demand and beneficial they would be. I have now progressed from a User Researcher to a Senior Researcher in 2+ years with 5+ years in industry overall. I’m so grateful for Daniels coaching support that I also recommended him to a friend not long ago who also received much needed clarity and coaching. Daniel is a fantastic coach that leaves you feeling sure in yourself, accomplished and ready to reach for goals you might have only ever secretly harboured.
