Description
This focused writing package provides individualized support across the most important written components of the college application. Students receive a combination of one-on-one brainstorming and writing strategy sessions, multiple rounds of essay feedback, and a comprehensive final application review. Personal Statement — 4 hours Includes a 1-hour personal statement brainstorming and writing workshop to identify potential topics, develop the essay’s narrative and structure, and create a clear writing plan. The remaining 3 hours are reserved for multiple rounds of personalized editing and feedback as the essay develops. Activities List — 1 hour A comprehensive review and edit of the Common Application Activities List, with a focus on effectively communicating the student’s involvement, impact, leadership, and accomplishments within the available space. Supplemental Applications — 4 hours Support for supplemental essays for two colleges. Each school includes a 30-minute brainstorming and strategy session followed by up to 1.5 hours of supplemental essay editing, typically spread across two rounds of feedback. Final Application Review — 1 hour A comprehensive review of the completed application prior to submission, including the overall presentation of the student’s experiences, written materials, and application narrative.

With over a decade of admissions experience, Skyler has read and rendered admissions decisions for some of the most competitive academic programs in the world. Skyler previously served as associate director of admissions at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and assistant director of undergraduate admissions at Northwestern University, where he also received a Master’s in Higher Education Administration and Policy with an emphasis on college admissions. Skyler has extensive experience in admissions consulting as well, taking a personal approach to advising and supporting students as they navigate the college admissions process. Skyler has successfully helped hundreds of students get admitted to schools such as Yale, MIT, Berkeley, USC, Northwestern University, and more! Skyler is also passionate about college access, and from Adams Admissions Consulting’s inception, supporting low-income, first-generation students has always been core to the company’s mission. Skyler serves as a board member for the college access nonprofit, Green Halo Scholars where he supports the organization's efforts in supporting first-generation college students.
