As a Harvard Business School MBA graduate, I know how transformational an MBA program can be for one's career. I also know how incredibly stressful and daunting the application process can be! Getting into a premier MBA program is not just about getting good scores and rec letters. In today's competitive environment, it means crafting a compelling story to stand out among a very crowded and competitive field. The key question is not why you need the MBA program, but why does the MBA program need YOU? I have worked with dozens of individuals to help build their stories and answer that very question. From brainstorming the overall "hook" of the application to writing detailed recommendation letters, I have a very hands-on approach that includes multiple rounds of review, design, and iteration to build a competitive application that gives you the best chance at the MBA program of your dreams. I grew up in Russia and I had the privilege of studying at the Higher School of Economics, where I graduated with honors. My career began at EY - Transaction Advisory Services in Moscow, where I juggled a demanding full-time job with a full-time master’s program. In 2017, my work paid off with an international transfer to EY Boston. By 2022, I had realized a dream by joining the MBA program at Harvard Business School. Beyond my professional life, I’ve spent the last 15 years mentoring students in Moscow and Boston through UStrive, and engaging in social consulting projects with non-profits in Boston.

I'm an experienced admissions consultant with almost a decade of expertise navigating elite admissions - for my own admissions processes for undergrad (Harvard) and full-time MBA (incoming Stanford GSB, additional acceptances to Wharton and many others). Outside of my own admissions successes, I've been a professional admissions consultant, beginning in 2016 with my work as an early hire at CollegeVine, one of the leading (undergrad) admissions consultancies in the US. I've formally consulted with, and informally mentored, countless students across both undergrad and grad school, with many acceptances to Ivies+. Regarding MBA admissions: I navigated my own admissions process with a relatively "nontraditional" background, coming from startups and, further back, self-employment. My view on admissions is one rooted in pragmatism and genuineness; let's dispense with some of the trite advice and focus on what your background offers, the story you have to tell, and why you actually want to go to business school. (And even whether you *should* go to business school! Navigating doubt is, in my opinion, an important part of this process as well.) Beyond admissions, I'm a successful startup operator - most recently as the COO of Impactive, a YCombinator-backed political software startup.
