About
I work with two groups of people. (1) MBA applicants aiming for HBS, Stanford GSB and other top programs, especially college students and early-career professionals applying to deferred programs like HBS 2+2 and GSB Deferred. I was accepted to Stanford's GSB Deferred program and HBS 2+2 (1 in ~5 each year worldwide). I crowdsourced application advice from 100+ MBA admits before I applied -- happy to pass on this knowledge. (2) Candidates recruiting for McKinsey, BCG and Bain who want realistic case and fit interview practice from someone who worked at one of the firms. I was accepted to Bain and BCG, and did final round interviews at McKinsey. I have received and delivered 100+ cases, and have coached 10+ applicants who have all received MBB offers. Our first session is a diagnosis. I’ll tell you honestly where your application or interview performance stands, and we’ll agree on a plan that focuses on what will move the needle most. I keep subsequent sessions as practical as possible. Not sure where to start? Book a free 15-minute intro call and tell me about your goals and timeline.
Why do I coach?
When I applied to business school as a college student, I didn’t know what admissions committees were looking for. To get clued in, I spoke to tens if not hundreds of deferred MBA admits to spot patterns which framed my applications. The people who helped most were a handful who had recently been through it and were willing to give me honest, specific feedback. I was admitted to both HBS and Stanford GSB. My profile wasn’t perfect; I had learned to tell my story clearly. At BCG I saw the same thing from the recruiting side. Strong candidates often fall short in case interviews because nobody has shown them what a good answer looks like. Coaching lets me be that person for someone else and give back. Good advice on these processes is often expensive, out of date or vague, and I want to give applicants the honest, current guidance I wish I’d had.
