About
Onyi’s Management Consulting Qualifications
Experience level: Consultant
I spent two years at BCG in Seattle, moving from Associate to Consultant, mostly on technology and consumer work. I built a product onboarding roadmap for a $60B tech client covering 14 business units, led an organizational redesign for a $4B security business, and worked on labor and pricing strategy for a national restaurant chain. I studied Management Science & Engineering at Stanford and earned my MBA at Wharton, so I know both the undergrad and MBA recruiting paths firsthand. At BCG, I was selected as the Seattle office’s Black and Latinx associate recruiting lead. I supported 10 candidates through the application process, 3 of whom joined the firm, and mentored 4 interns who all received return offers. I’ve also run case prep groups and one-on-one practice for Stanford students breaking into consulting. I’ll help you build a structured approach to cases, sharpen your fit stories, and understand what interviewers are actually listening for. Whether you’re an undergrad, an MBA candidate, or switching careers, we’ll build a prep plan around your timeline and target firms.

Motive
January 2024 - August 2024
I focused on internal market sizing and strategic projects refining our strategy. This gave me late-stage startup experience prior to business school.

Consultant
Boston Consulting Group
June 2021 - November 2023
I came in as an Associate and was promoted to Consultant. I have helped various people case over the years and was involved in the assessment process when reviewing candidates in the pipeline. I took a generalist approach and touched on tech, consumer, private equity, DEI, and more.
Education

The Wharton School (UPenn)
MBA, Entrepreneurship & Innovation
2024 - 2026
Wharton was an excellent experience across the academic, professional, and social dimensions. Academically, I explored entrepreneurship and the AI major during my second year; professionally, I worked with startups including branching into sports with Tracy McGrady's basketball league; socially, I connected widely while actively building community. I credit MLT for the confidence I felt in navigating the application process, and I have since paid that forward by supporting prospective students in their application processes.

Stanford University
Bachelor's, Management Science & Engineering
2017 - 2021
While at Stanford, I focused primarily on STEM classes while engaging in the humanities whenever electives allowed. I played an active role on campus, holding various student leadership positions, serving on the student government cabinet, and working as an RA. I took a concentrated approach to apply through the help of programs like LEDA and have worked with various students on crafting their essays and resumes.
