Software Engineering Interview Coaching
Get focused help for your next software engineering interview from a former Amazon and Square interviewer. I have prepared for many interviews myself and coached more than 100 people, so I bring both the candidate's and interviewer's perspectives. This is one 60-minute, one-to-one coaching session for engineers preparing for interviews. We choose one main focus based on your target role and what you need most: - Coding mock interview or problem-solving: practice your reasoning, data structure choices, complexity analysis, testing, and explanation. - Behavioral interview preparation: work on clear STAR stories about ownership, collaboration, challenges, and impact. - Interview strategy and preparation plan: identify gaps, prioritize topics, and plan your independent practice. - Technical communication: practice explaining a project, technical decision, or solution clearly and responding to follow-up questions. We start by agreeing on the focus, work through practice or coaching, and finish with live feedback and concrete next steps. The selected focus, feedback, and planning all fit within the same 60 minutes; the session does not cover every option above. My coaching draws on my experience and is independent of Amazon and Square. Practice questions are not confidential company interview material.

Interview Coaching | Former Amazon & Square Interviewer
I'm Rohit, a software engineer and interview coach with experience at Amazon, Square, and Citrix. I've interviewed candidates at Amazon and Square, coached more than 100 people, and prepared for many interviews myself. I hold a master's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and co-created System Design Masterclass with the Sweet Codey team. What we can work on: - Coding interviews: problem-solving, complexity analysis, testing, and explaining your approach. - Behavioral interviews: clear stories about ownership, collaboration, challenges, and impact. - Interview strategy: identify gaps and prioritize your preparation for a target role. - Technical communication and system design: explain decisions, compare tradeoffs, and respond to follow-up questions. We agree on a clear focus for each session, practice together, and finish with specific feedback and next steps. Bring your target role, interview stage, and the areas you find difficult. Sessions are practical and tailored to your needs, with feedback delivered during our booked time.
