Quantum computing is built on math that most resources bury in jargon. I wrote Essential Mathematics of Quantum Computing and teach as affiliate faculty in physics at George Mason University. In this package, I’ll walk you through that math clearly, one step at a time, at your own pace. Over 5 hours, we’ll cover: Session 1: Linear algebra essentials: vectors, matrices, sets, and vector spaces Session 2: Linear Transformations, Change of Basis, Projection, Measurement Session 3: Complex Numbers, Bloch Sphere, Eigenstuff Session 4: Bring all together: Bras, Kets, Inner Product, Outer product, Tensor Product, Entanglement Session 5: Review, your questions, and a plan for what to learn next We can adjust the pace and topics to your background. This package is a good fit for software engineers, students, and anyone who wants to truly understand how quantum computing works.

What's included

5h of coaching$142.50/hr · Live Sessions$712.50
Total$712.50

Each session is a live video lesson with a shared whiteboard. Between sessions, I’ll send short practice problems and review your work in writing, so our live time goes toward the ideas that need the most explanation. You can message me between sessions with questions.

  • A solid working understanding of the linear algebra behind quantum computing
  • The ability to read and reason about quantum mathemetics on your own
  • Worked practice problems and notes you can keep for reference
  • A personalized plan for your next steps in learning

I help people understand quantum computing and build careers in it, without the hype. I spent seven years working in quantum at Microsoft, first as a Quantum Ambassador and later as a Senior Product Manager on Azure Quantum. Before that, I spent nearly 20 years as a software developer and solution architect. I wrote Essential Mathematics of Quantum Computing (Packt), I’ve created quantum training for Microsoft and IonQ, and I’m an Affiliate Faculty member in Physics and Astronomy at George Mason University. Today I run Essential Quantum Group, an independent quantum consulting firm. I can help you: Map out a realistic path into a quantum career Truly understand the math behind qubits, gates, and algorithms Make sense of what quantum means for your business Working with me is interactive, not a lecture. We’ll work through examples together, I’ll answer your questions as they come up, and I’ll give you practice between sessions so the ideas stick. I’m patient, I’ll meet you where you are, and no question is too basic.
