From first workflow to a production n8n system that runs itself
Most n8n work stalls at the demo. It runs once on clean data, then breaks the first time a real record is malformed or an API times out, and nobody can tell why. This takes one process that is run manually today and turns it into a workflow that survives contact with production. Built against real systems, with error handling and retry logic, then instrumented so a failure is visible instead of silent. I have code merged into n8n core and hold Expert Partner certification, so the patterns here come from the product itself rather than a tutorial.
What's included
Four working sessions over two to three weeks. Session one maps the process and picks the highest friction step. Sessions two and three build it live against your systems, screen shared. Session four hardens it, adds monitoring, and hands over a short runbook so your side owns it after.
- A working workflow running against your real systems and data, not a sandbox demo
- Error handling, retry and alerting so a silent overnight failure cannot happen

Writing software full time since 2011, alongside a BSc and then a Master's at the University of Passau. Enterprise delivery in Germany and the UK since 2018. No shortcuts, no straight line. A genuine obsession with technology, how it works, and what it can do for people when it is set up properly. That path led through enterprise consulting, AI systems, and eventually Frankfurt, where the focus now is on what is coming next. Agents, large language models, and the infrastructure that makes them run in production rather than in a demo. Certified n8n Expert Partner, licence 18628384, valid through February 2028, with code merged into n8n core. I deliver automation and integration work across banking, telecommunications, public sector and manufacturing in the DACH region. The kind that still runs after the engagement ends, rather than a half-finished workflow.
