Get Past the Six-Second Screen: Resume Review From the Hiring Side
Send me your resume and the role you are targeting at least two days before we meet. I'll mark it up line by line from the hiring side and flag what a screener would skip, with a clear and actionable note on why. In our 60-minute session, I'll take you through the top third of the page first, since that's where most screening decisions get made. Then we fix your weakest bullets using the five questions I apply to every resume: what decision was on the table, who used your work, what happened afterward, how big it was, and what would have happened without you. Those answers turn a list of duties into results. We'll shape each new bullet together until it's strong and you can back up every word in an interview. Within two weeks of the session, send me your revised resume and I'll give it one more written review.
What's included
I'm direct (but friendly!) and I'll read your resume the way a hiring manager would and tell you plainly what's working and what isn't. Every bullet goes through the same five questions, so you'll understand why each change makes it stronger and how to apply the same test to the rest of your resume. We write the new versions together, which keeps every line in your voice and makes it something you can stand behind in an interview.
- A line-by-line markup of your resume from the hiring side, showing what a screener would skip and why
- A rebuilt top third that tells a screener who you are and what you're aiming for within six seconds
- Your weakest bullets rewritten around results, using my five-question framework
- A written review of your revised resume within two weeks of our session
Meet your expert

Satoshi E.
Hiring manager who tells you what the interviewer is actually thinking
I'm Satoshi and I help people whose experience is stronger than their resume makes it look. That's often someone changing fields or countries, or someone senior who has never had to sell their own work. I've read hundreds of resumes and run hundreds of interviews from the hiring side, so I know which parts a hiring manager reads and which parts they skip. Working with me is direct and practical. I'll tell you what I'd think if I were the one hiring, and then we fix it together. You do the writing and I edit, because you are the one who has to defend every line in an interview. Each session ends with a short list of what's due before the next one, and we track whether the changes are getting you more callbacks. If they aren't, we change the approach. I also coach MBA applicants (Columbia MBA '20 with full-tuition fellowship) and help with personal finance (financial planning, investments, equities, fixed income, etc.) and travel planning (50+ countries traveled and lived across 3 continents). You'll find those under my other services.
