Interior Design Career Strategy Session
Whether you're an interior design student preparing to enter the industry, a recent graduate trying to land your first role, a career changer transitioning into design, or a working designer trying to determine your next move, this session is designed to help you build a clearer career strategy. Before we meet, I'll review the materials most relevant to your goals, such as your resume, portfolio, LinkedIn profile, current job search, or career background. During our session, we'll identify where you are now, where you want to go, and the gaps between the two. We'll discuss positioning, potential career paths, job search strategy, transferable skills, professional presentation, and practical next steps. My approach is especially informed by experience across interior design, retail design, sales, project management, client-facing roles, and design education. I understand that a design career is rarely a perfectly straight path, and we'll focus on turning your full range of experience into an advantage.
What's included
I approach career strategy the same way I approach design: first understand the problem, then develop a thoughtful plan. Before our session, I'll review the information you provide so we can spend our time discussing strategy rather than simply reviewing your background. Our conversation will be candid, collaborative, and focused on actionable decisions. You'll leave knowing what to prioritize next rather than trying to tackle everything at once.
- A personalized career roadmap with clear next steps.
- Recommendations for positioning your experience, education, and transferable skills.
- Feedback on your resume, portfolio, LinkedIn, or job-search strategy based on your goals.
- Identification of skill or experience gaps to prioritize.
- A focused action plan for pursuing your next opportunity.

Interior Designer | Design Critique, Portfolio & Career Guidance
I’m an interior designer, project manager, retail professional, entrepreneur, and U.S. Army veteran with experience spanning creative design, client services, sales, project execution, and career development. My path has taken me from military service to higher education and into the design industry, where I’ve worked with clients on everything from individual spaces and material selections to larger design concepts and project planning. I earned my BFA in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, building on an associate degree in Interior Design, while also studying business management, entrepreneurship, advertising, and branding. I bring both creative and practical thinking to the people I work with. I’m especially good at helping someone take an idea that feels overwhelming, break it into manageable pieces, identify what matters most, and determine what to do next.
