Interior Design Project Critique & Direction
Feeling stuck on an interior design project or unsure whether your concept is coming together? This package provides an in-depth professional critique of one active interior design project, with clear direction for strengthening the overall design. Before our session, I’ll review the materials you submit, which may include your floor plan, mood board, renderings, material selections, furniture selections, presentation boards, or other relevant project documents. During our live session, we’ll evaluate your concept, space planning, material and color selections, visual hierarchy, functionality, and overall design cohesion. Rather than simply telling you what I would change, I’ll help you understand why something is or isn’t working and identify practical ways to move the project forward while maintaining your own design vision. This package is ideal for interior design students, emerging designers, independent designers, or anyone developing a design project who wants an experienced second set of eyes before making major decisions or presenting their work.
What's included
My approach is collaborative, practical, and solution-focused. I review your project materials before we meet so our live session can focus on meaningful critique rather than simply getting familiar with the project. We’ll discuss your goals, identify areas that need refinement, explore possible solutions, and establish clear next steps. My goal is not to redesign the project for you, but to help you strengthen your ideas, sharpen your design thinking, and make more confident decisions.
- A professional critique identifying the strongest and weakest areas of your project.
- Specific recommendations for improving space planning, materials, color, furnishings, lighting, or concept development as applicable.
- Clear priorities and next steps for moving the project forward.
- Greater confidence explaining and defending your design decisions.

Interior Designer | Design Critique, Portfolio & Career Guidance
I’m an interior designer, project manager, retail professional, entrepreneur, and U.S. Army veteran with experience spanning creative design, client services, sales, project execution, and career development. My path has taken me from military service to higher education and into the design industry, where I’ve worked with clients on everything from individual spaces and material selections to larger design concepts and project planning. I earned my BFA in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, building on an associate degree in Interior Design, while also studying business management, entrepreneurship, advertising, and branding. I bring both creative and practical thinking to the people I work with. I’m especially good at helping someone take an idea that feels overwhelming, break it into manageable pieces, identify what matters most, and determine what to do next.
