Tame Test Anxiety: From Panic to Optimized Performance
Test anxiety isn't a character flaw. It's a nervous system doing exactly what it's wired to do, just at the wrong moment. This package gives you the tools to interrupt that pattern and walk into your next test performing at your actual skill level, not your stress level. We map your specific experience with test anxiety: what it feels like, when it hits, how it shows up and when it hits. Then we work through concrete, science-backed nervous system regulation techniques, tailored to your patterns, not generic advice. You'll also receive a bespoke hypnotherapy recording after our session, designed to help you release anxiety, set positive expectations, and reinforce these new patterns so they hold under pressure.
What's included
Honestly, the session feels more like chatting with a friend than a formal coaching call. We just talk about what's actually happening with your anxiety and when it shows up. Brains are weird and do dumb things under pressure, so we'll figure out what yours is doing and why. Then I'll walk you through specific, science-backed tools to tame the anxiety, calm your nervous system, and reduce those fight-or-flight symptoms so you can actually perform. After we talk, you get something most people aren't offering: a custom hypnotherapy recording built from our actual conversation. Yours to keep, listen to as many times as you want. Got a question after the fact? Message me on Leland and I'll write back. Want more ongoing support? 1:1 sessions are there if you need them.
- A personalized nervous system regulation toolkit built around how your anxiety actually shows up, ready to use before or during a test.
- A custom hypnotherapy recording, built from your session, that you can return to as many times as you need (can also be used as a meditation).
- A clearer understanding of your own anxiety pattern, including when it hits and why, so you can catch it early every time.

Neuroscience-backed Performance Optimization and Test Anxiety Coaching
I work on what happens in your brain and nervous system when the pressure's on, backed by training: Yale's Science of Well-Being certificate and Stanford Medicine's Positive Psychology and Well-Being program, plus hypnotherapy certification and a healthy respect for how weird brains actually are. I've spent 25+ years as a professional actor, producer, and writer. Along the way I've also managed downloadable content for a video game company and ran digital media for Twrrl, a mobile app that let users insert themselves into animated stories using their own face and voice. So my experience spans screen, stage, and a fair number of platforms in between. Somewhere in all of that, I started coaching. First actors and creatives navigating the pressure of being judged in real time, then entrepreneurs and small business owners figuring out their next move, then just people who wanted to stop white-knuckling their way through big decisions. I grew up between Colorado, London, and Karachi, which taught me early on how differently people define stress, success, and "normal." That's probably where my curiosity about human behavior actually started.
