Preparing for medical school can feel overwhelming. You may be wondering whether your experiences are strong enough, when you should apply, where the gaps are in your candidacy, or what you should prioritize over the next several months. This package is designed for students and prospective applicants who want an experienced, objective assessment of where they currently stand and clear guidance on what to do next. Before we meet, I will review your academic background, experiences, résumé or CV, and goals. During our 90-minute strategy session, we will take a comprehensive look at your preparation for medical school, including your academic achievements, clinical experience, community engagement, research and scholarly work, leadership, extracurricular activities, MCAT planning, and anticipated application timeline. Together, we will identify the strengths of your candidacy and the areas that may need further development to prioritize what will have the greatest impact on your candidacy. Following our session, you will receive a personalized written action plan outlining your key priorities and recommended next steps. We will meet again for a 60-minute follow-up session to assess your progress, address new questions, and refine your strategy as needed. What's Included: • Pre-session review of your transcript, résumé or CV, experiences, goals, and anticipated application timeline • 90-minute comprehensive application strategy session • Assessment of your academic preparation and experiences • Identification of strengths, potential gaps, and areas for development • Guidance on application timing and readiness • Prioritization of your most important next steps • Personalized written action plan • 60-minute follow-up strategy session

My approach to advising is personalized, strategic, and grounded in more than 15 years of experience working with prehealth students and medical school applicants. I take the time to understand the full picture of your candidacy, including your academic preparation, experiences, goals, and concerns, so that my guidance reflects your individual path rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. My advising style is collaborative, candid, and supportive. I ask thoughtful questions, provide clear feedback, and help you identify your strengths, areas for growth, and the priorities that will have the greatest impact. I also explain the reasoning behind my recommendations so you can make informed decisions and take ownership of the process. Throughout our work together, I will be your partner in the process and someone firmly in your corner. Whether we are planning your path to medical school, developing your application, or preparing for interviews, I will celebrate your progress, help you navigate challenges, and keep you focused on moving forward. You can expect strategic perspective, honest feedback, practical next steps, and genuine encouragement along the way.

With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, I have guided hundreds of students through academic decision-making, personal challenges, and complex pathways toward graduate and professional school. My career began in student affairs at UCLA Medical School, followed by graduate work in Educational Psychology at Columbia University, where I also worked during that time at their medical school. Soon after graduating from Columbia, I began working at New York University and took a pivotal leadership role directing NYU’s career changer Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program, where I discovered my passion for supporting aspiring healthcare professionals and mentoring students at critical moments in their academic journeys. Fifteen years later, I've worked with hundreds of college students across all fields of study, helping them navigate the full arc of their undergraduate experience - course selection and academic planning to overcoming setbacks, building strong faculty relationships, and developing the skills needed to thrive independently. As a program director, I have led the redesign and expansion of multiple prehealth programs at institutions including Barnard College and Sarah Lawrence College. I extend this depth of institutional and advising expertise into personalized, one-on-one support for students and applicants. My approach reflects a deep understanding of the challenges students face during college and a commitment to helping them make thoughtful decisions that position them for long-term success academically, professionally, and personally.
