A focused 90-minute strategy session designed to give your family a clear, honest read on your student's current SAT positioning and the highest-leverage path forward. The right starting point for families who aren't sure yet how much SAT prep their student needs, where to focus, or whether SAT or ACT is the better fit. Before our session, your student takes a full-length proctored diagnostic SAT under real test conditions. I review the results carefully, not just the score, but the patterns: which question types are missed consistently, where time pressure is hurting performance, where conceptual gaps exist, and where small strategic shifts could unlock significant point gains. During our 90-minute video session, I walk through the diagnostic results in detail with your student (and parents, if you'd like to join), explain what the score actually means in the context of target schools, and lay out a specific roadmap for prep, including how many hours of work the score gain is realistically going to require, what to focus on first, and what timeline makes sense given the student's testing window. We also discuss SAT vs. ACT positioning if that decision is still open. Within 48 hours after our call, I send a written follow-up summarizing the diagnostic findings, the prioritized prep plan, and clear recommendations for next steps. The full $599 cost can be credited toward any larger SAT package booked within 30 days, so this also works as a low-risk first step if you're considering longer-term tutoring.

I take a structured, no-fluff approach to test prep. Before our session, your student takes a full-length proctored diagnostic SAT and I carefully analyze the results, not just the headline score, but the patterns underneath it. During our 90 minutes, I'm direct: I'll tell you exactly what I see, where the highest-leverage focus areas are, how many hours of prep the target score realistically requires, and what timeline makes sense. My goal in this session is simple: leave your family with a real picture of where your student stands, a concrete plan for what to do next, and clarity on whether ongoing tutoring is worth the investment.

  • A full-length proctored SAT diagnostic taken under real test conditions
  • A detailed analysis of your student's current performance — strengths, weaknesses, and specific patterns
  • An honest assessment of realistic score targets given current performance and prep timeline
  • A prioritized prep roadmap with specific recommendations on focus areas, hours needed, and timeline
  • Clear guidance on SAT vs. ACT positioning (if relevant)
  • A written follow-up summary with specific next steps you can act on immediately
  • Clarity on whether ongoing tutoring is the right next step — and if so, which package fits

I work with students aiming for top outcomes: a 1400+ SAT, a 700+ GMAT, or admission to highly selective colleges and MBA programs. Over 16+ years and 3,000+ students across six continents, I've built a practice around one idea: most students don't need more work, they need the right work, structured the right way. My career started at Prep Zone in Singapore, where I helped expand the company into Shanghai before returning to New York and joining some of the city's top test prep and admissions firms, including Veritas Prep, Bespoke Education, and Advantage Testing. I went on to found my own practice, Global Scholars, where I now work with students across six continents. On the testing side, my students average 200+ point gains on the SAT and 100+ on the GMAT. This is driven by pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution rather than brute-force practice. On the admissions side, my work is about coherence. Smart students often arrive with strong but scattered pieces: academics, extracurriculars, a story they haven't fully figured out. My job is to help them put it all together: a sharp narrative, a strategic school list, and essays that actually sound like them. 95%+ of my students are admitted to at least one of their top-choice schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, MIT, UChicago, NYU, and UCLA. I graduated from NYU and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School, which gives me a current, first-hand perspective on both undergraduate and MBA admissions. If you want a structured, strategic partner, not generic advice, let's talk.
