Tell Your Story: IB Behavioral Interview Prep
Build a clear, confident story that explains who you are, what you’ve accomplished, and why investment banking is the right next step for you. We’ll develop and refine your answers to the behavioral questions that appear throughout the IB interview process, including your resume walkthrough, why investment banking, why a particular bank or group, strengths and weaknesses, leadership experiences, challenges, career transitions, and other fit-based questions. We’ll also practice realistic follow-up questions and focus on both the substance of your answers and how you communicate them. The goal is to make your story feel natural and authentic while ensuring every answer reinforces why you would be a strong addition to an investment banking team.

I don’t believe in memorizing scripted interview answers. We’ll identify the strongest elements of your actual experience and build a framework that allows you to communicate them naturally and with conviction. I’ll challenge vague or generic responses, push you with realistic follow-up questions, and help you understand what the interviewer is actually trying to learn about you.

I’m a former Investment Banker and Private Equity Vice President with experience investing in high-growth software, AI and technology companies, including working on an investment in a company now valued at $5 billion. My PE experience spanned the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and diligence to financial modeling, deal execution, and portfolio company strategy. My path into private equity wasn’t seamless. I spent close to a year interviewing before breaking in, so I understand firsthand how challenging and frustrating the process can be. Over time, I learned that success goes beyond knowing the technicals—you need to understand how investors think, communicate with conviction, and know what interviewers are actually assessing. I bring experience from both sides of the table and provide direct, practical coaching across IB and PE interviews, technicals, LBOs, case studies, deal discussions, and recruiting strategy.
